The open cocoon does suggest that Buu may be alive like what happened in the series. Yet on the other hand you would think if Majin Buu were ready to be released on the universe Bibidi would have released him (or it) against the Kaioshin instead of those two minions.

She is definitely a cutie in this special, but I'm more enamored by South Kaioshin's power. He truly is the most powerful Kaioshin. Fat Kaioshin seams to be the most wise, and possibly the most gifted. Female Kaioshin is cutest on page 549 panel 1, and page 551 panel 3. It also appears that South Kaioshin is the one with the teleport ability, as she grasped him every time they warp.

And here I honestly thought she did that because she liked him.

Kinda disappointing that the best art was spent on the shortest special.

So...basically...this is the universe where the gods actually did shit and stopped all evil in the universe? Hmm...as much as I gripe about how far gone they let things get with Boo, I'm actually finding this solution pretty dull.

And that is why it's not "our" universe. :P
Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

I like it, for once the Kaioshins aren't just sitting on their asses.

See, that's just it - I think that for me at least, this is a case of me turning out not to want what I thought I did. Kind of like what VegettoEX says on all matters related to the gameplay for Ultimate Tenkaichi.

I kind of wanted them to have a heavier hand in stuff, but looking at how they're doing it here...it just makes for an incredibly dull story to me.

Or for another example - I used to be amongst the fans that thought we needed to see 'more' of the Trunks timeline. Like, actually seeing our heroes fighting the Androids and how they eventually failed. After some of the other specials in this comic though...I think I know why we didn't get to see that. It would have been depressing as hell.

Is the second panel a reference to any known to us event? I think this dog guy was in the AfterLife.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Circa 6,233 BEFORE AGE
--DBZ Episode 196: In the North Galaxy, the hero Migoren fights bravely with an evil alien. In recognition of his deeds, after his death he is allowed to keep his body in the afterlife, and trains on the Grand Kaio’s world.
[Ref: DBZ Episode 196 places this 7,000 years ago (due to a typo, the Funi subtitles say "700 years"). The date of Migoren’s actual death is unspecified.]

Is it just me, or has the art gotten worse overtime? :?

Seeing the original 'Legendary Saiyan' is cool, even if I'm still not fond of seeing the Kaioshin just taking down all the threats across the universe.

The next page might show them killing King Cold and his family, plus killing Baby Broli.

I like how they still use "Bojack Gang". Am I the only one who thinks that's funny and yet sad at the same time? Couldn't they just right "Bojack's Gang" or whatever would fit it properly?

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Yeah the grammar is getting increasingly annoying. lol Personally, I'd prefer to see "Hera Pirates", or something to that effect...but they'd probably screw that up too.

I guess we will see them kill Freeza's empire and maybe Dr. Raichi next?

The Legendary Super Saiyan sure has some big feet. Dude is bigger than Broli.
