Damn,I never really though of that,My guess would be

-Champa and Vados will first appear when Whis is training Goku and Vegeta.
-Kibitoshin used the Namek Dragon Balls which would explain why the others said that Earth cant be revived anymore when Freeza destroyed the planet.
-The events of Chapter 5 will be right after the when Freeza got defeated which would explain why Goku and Vegeta is still on their 'F' outfits with Whis' signature but the tournament will take place years after,Likely after EOZ which would explain why Goku wants to train Uub.

There's no way the tournament will take years to be held, they are too fickle to wait that long (it wouldn't make sense either). I'm not sure those bits with Champa and Vados looking for the Super Dragon Balls aren't contradicing this new Champa arc, it seems kinda stupid that they are sneaking around behind Beers' back, leave, and then return months later to casually greet him.

About that Toriyama quote, he said that they will "depart from this universe". What does it mean? If the Earth is in danger of being swapped does this mean they win the tournament and just go there because reasons? Does it mean they lose and, because they are on another location, the Earth swaps without them? If they win, why would they go to another Universe if there's nothing Champa could do to them without Beers and Whis intervening? If they lose, how can they accomplish anything without a Dragon Radar and Champa stopping them?

That's not true. The majority of the population was killed, not all of it but Trunks & Bulma.

Who's to say the tournament isn't to be held in U6? Champa is the organizer, after all. So a possible reason is there already.

As for the need of the Dragon Balls, it's hard to make guesses at this point, but it's possible that Champa's plan is to get Beerus (and everyone) stuck there somehow while he takes over U7. Then they'll have to go after the Super Dragon Balls, to open the gate between universes again. Bulma will be there, as always, so they would have the radar...and Champa wouldn't be aware of its existence.

Unless Champa and Vados kill Beerus and Whis off, but I doubt that would happen. In regards, Champa was searching for the Super DBs in universe 7, so he's aware of their existence and where they are in a general sense.

Yeah, it's probably easy for them to cross it, unless someone finds a way to close the path. That could be why Champa was collecting the Super Dragon Balls from U7, because he wants to do something from this side. While everyone is fighting, he opens the gate, gets to U7 and closes it "forever" using them.

Btw, i'm curious to see what dragon will come out from the SDB.

Yeah, it seems that the art is from Tadayoshi Yamamuro. Here you are another Son Goku design from Yamamuro... It's quite similar!

I noticed that this first box set has a 1-star on it. Think that means we'll only have a total of 7 box sets? (Or 9 if that image of the 9-star Dragon Ball from Chapter 1 of Toyotaro's manga is true).

I plan on buying all of them as they're released, but whether or not they'll be worth it is fairly subjective, and also depends on how you feel about typical Japanese home video prices. I'm sure it will be a standard, competent release with the basic extras like creditless OP and ED, and maybe some touch ups to the animation.

That would make sense. I seem to recall FUNimation announcing a TV deal for Kai around the same time they first licensed it, if not in the very same announcement.
