Hell, anyone doing an English version of Cha-la Head Cha-la on a FUNi release would be awesome.

Vic just happens to be one of their best singers, if not their best, so he'd be good for it. Plus, he did Dan Dan and one of the versions of Dragon Soul.

Heads up, people! On FUNimation's Facebook page, they will be premiering the Dragon Ball Z Level 1.1 Blu-Ray this weekend at Anime Weekend Atlanta. Anyone in the vicinity is strongly urged to go and report to us back with the details.

What exactly does that mean? As in, they're selling it, or just letting you watch it? Hopefully the former.

They're going to be showing it, not selling it. You'd think the word "premiere" would've been a dead giveaway.

I swear, if these are related in any way to the Dragon Box Special features... I'll be royally pissed.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

It's possible that the panel is referring to the interviews that we've been aware of for some time now.

Lemmy is probably correct but I can still hope for my TV promos, damn it.

"Acquired" sounds interesting because it sounds like it's not a special feature they made themselves whole-cloth, like FUNi voice actor interviews, a remastering process documentary, or commentary.

Toonami material, I'd assume, is the most likely guess based on the wording. I'm not entirely sure what else they could "acquire" that'd be in the BDs right away.

I remember he did say "acquire" and that they got it just for this release. So I have a feeling it isn't interviews with the dub cast.

It'd be hilarious if the the special "bonus feature" they acquired was just the rights to use the audio for the previews, outside of the Dragon Boxes, and are including them as "special features" on the Blu-rays.

I'd call that a positive rather than hilarious... maybe they could even dub them, who knows?

Yeah, I'm not saying it wouldn't be. I'm just saying it'd be kinda funny if a part of the show would be labeled as a "bonus feature".

I wouldn't be surprised if it did turn out to be the Dragon Box special features.

I just thought of this, I really hope they include the Mexican dub.

The likelihood of Funimation adding the Mexican dub is pretty low. Most if not all of their releases only have Japanese and English audio opinions. Even when they've added the dub, the individual sets are cancelled midway. The demand for the Mexican dub is probably also very low, at least in the US.
