Meredith McCoy is also returning as 18 and Doc Morgan is returning as the narrator. Sucks that Laura Bailey is not voicing Kid Trunks, she was really getting good at.

Yeah, a real shame. Chris said she's too busy.

Compared to Kai 18 doesn't have that much to say so not surprised she's back. Probably could do it all in a day really.

That does raise the question, though of if Kai:TFC will have McCoy or clinkenbeard

I've always like the idea of 18 just kinda Growing older and the voice changing back to McCoy because of that but I'm not sure if Cyborgs age

Why is everyone assuming this is still happening? Every sign seems to point to this having been canceled.

I don't see anything that suggests its been cancelled. Sure its taken a long time, but given Toonami's Kai ratings and Toei's obsession with TV deals it's pretty much guaranteed at this point.

Just because you interpret things a certain way, doesn't mean that that's the way they actually are. And you still haven't posted a convincing argument for it being cancelled. Simple logic and credible sources indicate that it will air on toonami after the Cell episodes.

Because it's all dubbed and ready and Funimation literally has no reason not to release it
They've already put the money into producing the thing, and they can afford the hit should it not do well

Good luck with that if they don't air it after Cell.

I'm one of the biggest supporters of Kai in general and even I'm getting a bit worried about the Buu arc.

Yeah the timing of all this super stuff worries me a little bit but not so much that I'm abandoning hope

If we hit the worst-case and Super replaces Kai, we could always try what the EarthBound fandom has always done for Mother3 and try some kind of Email Campaign; let Funi know there's an audience
Unlike M3, we Know Buu's actually been finished already

Although I'm happy with all the Super teasers we're getting I would love for Kai 2.0 to have the same kind of love.

If it doesn't air after Cell though.... I'm still holding out hope it will air eventually, although whether enough people will care at that point is another story (I still will, but for everyone else is another story).

If the rumor about GT is true and they're going to make us wait another year for it (or make us wait longer for another reason) then I might just get Z's Buu Blu-Ray's instead of Kai's.

Well, the thing is, it's not like it would put Funimation out of their way to release it
I use the Mother3 comparison, but whereas the fan effort to get that localized is like climbing over and across a mountain, with Buu I feel like the amount of effort is pretty much just knocking on a door to receive an existing, finished product

It's just bizarre to me how secret they're being about this. Even a tiny statement tacked onto an existing Super announcement like "In the meantime catch up with this" would be enough

That rumor's been shot down buy the guy in charge of Toonami already

If there were any kind of deal in the works to air the show, I don't think he would have been allowed to acknowledge that rumor, let alone deny it

I think the GT thing is a bullshit rumour. There would be no logical reason for Toonami to air it after Cell. It would be like going from Star Wars (A New Hope for the casuals  ) to Return of the Jedi and not doing Empire. It's just jumping ahead when there's already great content in between, in Kai's case it's newer content (at least as far as the dub goes) which would surely be preferable.

I would say in the distant future when Super concludes then Toonami can go to GT, but if they're going for consistency now would be the worst time imaginable to do it.

It's already December and we still haven't heard of it, though. We did, however, already hear about the new Gundam and its time slot a while back. I'm mostly basing this around Super, though. Super has even had a cast announcement and we still haven't heard a peep about The Final Chapters. It stands to reason that at some point in 2016, the decision was made to forego Buu Kai in favor of Super. That's why they were holding off on announcing it. There was no guarantee that they would even release it, so they were deciding whether or not to go through with it. Ultimately, it was decided that it simply wasn't profitable with a new series around. Again, all speculation, but this makes the most sense.

Now, I do believe Geekdom's sources to be legitimate, but we have no idea how outdated the information these sources have is. It's very unlikely that they're that far up on the corporate ladder.

Buu Kai is a continuation of Kai so maybe no formal announcement might be made and they'll just air it. FUNi have done that before with sequel shows.

Even if Funimation has decided to shelf it in favor of super, it's still finished and basically ready to go according to Sean

Which puts its status more comparable to EBB than M3, if I may keep making the EarthBound Comparisons
Which means it can be put out at any time, even if it doesn't end up airing on Toonami

That's what they do with One Piece, they used to announce each new season but now they're releasing them without saying anything about them.
