In all seriousness, some of the figures being advertised for the movie look really nice. I only have Super Saiyan God Goku from the Chozousyu series so far, but I'm thinking about investing in a small collection.

2018 on the whole has been utterly amazing well from Banpresto and the movie stuff just tops this year of perfectly, DB hasn't had a year like this ever when it comes to figures. 2017 was a pretty shambolic year, but this year Banpresto allowed sculptors more freedom and actually tried to mass produce figures as close to prototypes as possible. I'm so glad it's 2018 that's had a new form for Goku and a new main film.

Bandai were the only problem this year constantly taking fans for the mick, but what they're doing this December is going a long way to help mend some bridges, for years Japanese fans have been wanting the HG line to become a normal gashapon again and Bandai finally making it so. The prototypes for December's DBS SDBH SF's look 10x better than the last 3 volumes. Despite doing this crappy Ginyu force special for the UDMs where the last one Guldo would be released in the movie UDM set they increased the set from 5 to 6 as to not affect it, so Guldo is just spare. Now if Bandai can sustain this level of competencey that would be brill.

Quick newbie question: I'm aware that certain series have different sizes and ratios, but are some of them consistent with each other or no? For example, would DXF The Super Warriors be the same as Chozousyu proportionally speaking? Couldn't find anything about it in the OP.

I'm due to update the OP this weekend, so thanks for the suggestion I'll add lengths of figures for each line. But generally speaking figures only in their own line only try to be consistent with each other. The Chozousyu line SSGSS Goku is ~15cm from head to feet while the SSGSS DXF Super Warriors Goku is ~18cm but despite only being slightly taller he's a lot bigger than the Chozousyu Goku, here's a comparison:

I think I'll start collecting the WCFs for now since they're so compact. I figure they'll probably look good on my Amiibo shelf too.

My second question was, does anyone know why volumes 2 and 4 of the Super Dragon Ball Heroes WCF are so expensive compared to the other sets? Sets 1 and 3 I've seen usually sell for around $50 usd, but 2 and 4 are upwards to $100 usd. Why is this the case? Is it just because of the particular characters in the set?

As for the figure, it's almost definitely Gogeta, Xenoverse 2's newest update was datamined revealing that the next DLC pack for that game is a new Gogeta (SSJ and SSJ4 Gogeta are already in the game) and new Broly.

I've only got one ssjg Goku (he's like 6 or 7 inches tall) despite the transformation being my favorite because I set the bar high for figures nowadays. Wcf's are cool and I'd like to have a ssjg Goku one.


Makes sense UI isn't in the movie. I'm disappointed, but I understand. They just got done marketing it and need something new to sell. Don't wanna flood the market I guess.

Banpresto World Figure Colosseum yearly sculpting competition in which the winner gets a cash prize and then gets to sculpt a figure of their choice unless there is a new form out that year like 2015 and 2018. Disappointingly 2016 & 2017's winners chose characters that were already part of the initial roster than sculptors could select (Super Vegeta and SS4 Gogeta).

With 2 WCFs volumes left (unless more get solicited later) and assuming it is still 6 per volume means we only have two chances left for a SSG Goku, one will almost definitely be SSGSS and I have a feeling winter clothes will be the other, the other gut feeling I have is like ResF they'll make Vol.2 a Broly special set but we'll find out on Wednesday. I recently picked up the BoG Vol.4 SSG Goku and DBS Vol.2 SSG Goku WCF's both are pretty great imo.

Welcome! As Arched said it is looking 99.99% likely it is Gogeta.

As for SDBH WCF's, where are you looking there is no way they should be that much they should be around $50 too. Pre orders in Japan for vol.4 are going around 5000yen and Vol.2 is currently chilling at around 3000yen for the whole set of 5.

SDBH Merch really doesn't do so well on the after market in Japan, the Transcendence art SSGSS Goku even dropped to 900yen!

With that announcement of the One Piece movie next summer I'm way more convinced that if Super returns to TV it'll be July, not April. April they'll still be busy with the OP film.

Yeah One Piece last film didn't drop off until after the 3rd month so was hoping Feb would be stacked too but I guess since no UI and they've done SSG/SSGSS Anger/Full Power & presumably Gogeta there wasn't anything they could think off to do besides WCF for Feb. The only other thing I am disappointed in is the movie WCFs stopping at 3 volumes feel like they can get at least 5 volumes out but maybe more will get scheduled later like you suggest if the show returns.

Tag Fighters sounds like the opposite of Match Makers and presumably that is Goku & Freeza teaming up in the ToP (hoping for Base Goku). Hopefully the next set will be SSGSS KK Goku and SSGSS.Evo Vegeta!

Also still no sign of an actual figure for Hit/Jiren/Zamasu from Banpresto...

Suzuki has done 2 Z, 2 DBS and now they're second GT figure. Hopefully DB is next.

Wonder what the Dokkan Battle Ultimate Evolution Ichiban Kuji is about, sounds similar to the DB Legends one with swappable parts, this will probably not be shown at prize fair so got to wait until next month to find out.

Bulma will probably be *another* Bunny Bulma figure... Would be a perfect opportunity to do new movie Bulma.

Confirmed via Shikishi 7 description that UI Goku will not appear in the movie.
