No, the point of watermarking is that it IS permanent, something that can't be removed. This, however, is something you can turn off with a single click if it bothers you so much. Let's drop it.

Whoa, looks like there was actually a LOT of stuff coming out since I left last night again.

He's supposed to be seen at the start with Kibito Kai, when they and Kaio are discussing Bils' waking up, I believe. I've been getting the feeling that we don't see either of them beyond this point though.

Apparently they appear again at the end (watching things from afar) and comment on Goku befriending Beers.

So they actually get lines then? I was starting to expect that they were non-voiced cameos kind of like Freeza, even in their appearance at the start of the film. I'm glad that they're not, and that they do appear again.

As for the new commercial where Freeza and Cell bicker - LOVE IT. For some reason these two always play well off of each other. And I love that they got Nakao and Wakamoto to do something for the movie even though they're not actually involved in it, that's just awesome. As for the new animation shown in it, I'm loving Vegeta's creepy smile (still not as bad as what he had on Namek towards Gohan though) and Buu's kissy-kissy face to mock Birusu.

According to the movie guide book, the original Birusu Watanabe thought of was a very bad guy who infects people with evil and he's the one who made the Saiyan race ruthless. Now my first idea sounds more plausible: his name is pun for virus (ビールス) and Toriyama thought up the name Uisu after a synonymous word uirusu (virus).

So the name pun really does seem to come from 'virus'. Huh. That was the one I was expecting the least for some reason, it just seemed too...I don't want to say obvious, but I just didn't see it coming. And whoa at that original idea for who Birusu was. I really don't know how I feel about that idea...it actually makes me more receptive to the idea of there having been some naturally good Saiyans that just got killed by the rest of the race. That seems more natural to me than 'Oh, the Saiyans were ALL good until this one guy infected them with his evil, muahaha!'. Yeah, I'm definitely glad for the plot change for this movie, even if it's still iffy.

Anything's fine. It's all a matter of what you want to spend and how fast you want it.

For me, since Julian's just picking everything up on release date for the relevant information, I kinda don't care when it shows up... so I've just been doing the cheapest option (SAL) for everything. It's a good two weeks before things show up, but they show up!

EDIT: Also, mystery of green!Pilaf solved! It was a Toriyama-error and that's why WCF Pilaf is green.

ha ha if we aren't careful, he'll retcon it so that Pilaf is a Namek!

A little off topic, but I've been contemplating CD Japan for some stuff for a while now - do you have to have a full scale credit card to order from there, or would those one-time-use 'gift' cards like I usually get for RightStuf orders work? I'm guessing you'd at least have to have a card of some kind, I get the feeling they don't accept money orders.

Official, Toei-drawn, dancing Vegeta is now my phone's wallpaper.
This is the most surreal year I've had in DB fandom ever.


I've been wanting to try CDJapan for a while now (because Kino doesn't have everything) so I think I'm gonna look into trying it out later on today for this guide. Thank you so much for the info on SAL (that it's safe, it just takes a long time). I have no problem waiting a couple weeks; I pre-order stuff on Amazon that I know won't be out for months so it should all go well.

It looks to be about 100 pages, and thus identical to the "Jump Anime" artbooks for movie 12 (104 pages) and movie 13 (88 pages). Don't worry, though, they can fit a *lot* of content into that. I guess this means I'm picking up the official guide (along with the Chozenshu volumes) when I get my paycheck next week. All of these movie guide images look amazing!

I'd recommend looking into their payment options. You should be able to find something that works for you, even if you don't have a card.

For those on the fence about CDJapan, it really is fantastic. I've been using it for years and I've never had a single problem. I'll occasionally use Amazon Japan (which is good, too), but CDJapan's usually much cheaper and certainly more accessible to English speakers.

I'm so dissappointed by the images from the guide - the current style of Toriyama is plain ugly. One thing is its difference to the "normal" DB(Z) pictures and the fact that is looks like a bad fanart done by a One Piece fan who tried to imitate Toriyama but failed. Another is the fact that I wouldn't even become interested in DB if it looked that way... We came to this horrifying moment when some fanmangas look more like Dragon Ball than official art does...

On the other hand dancing Vegeta is awesome

The way the movie ends stating that bill will wake up again in 3 years. Does this mean, that we will be getting a sequel to this movie in 3 years time ?

I kinda wish the movie's designs looked a bit more like those designs. It would give the movie a bit more modern flavor. It looks like they left some like Satan and Chaozu in that style though. Can't wait until my guide comes.

I don't dislike Toriyama's new art style, I actually like it, however I do prefer his old style.

I really don't mind the way most of them look. I guess I dislike Satan the most...he looks way too skinny. Still debating if I should get this or not...
