Then when Goku loses and becomse SSJ, he'll finish it off with Dragonfist.

At least in that situation, most of the main characters retain their general backgrounds and personalities throughout the different continuities (with a few notable exceptions like anime Rei and tokusatsu Minako).Sedorna wrote:This movie is a bit different from the original story, yes. However, I am a Sailor Moon fan. I like the anime. I like the manga. I like the live-action TV show. I like the stage musicals. They are all quite different from each other, yet still good. This movie being different doesn't necessarily mean it'll be bad.
The Tone of this film? Think "Date Movie" combined with "Kung Fu Hustle". Anyway, so no one was able to go to the link I just posted and confirm if it was absoultly fake or possibly real? I can't read spanish, so I don't know the credibility of that article.. I was.. REALLY hoping one of you would have shot it down by the time I got back.MyVisionity wrote:This is really disapointing to hear. I was hoping they wouldn't go the wig route for this movie. Now I wonder what the tone of this film will be like. Most of the female characters (both lead and extras) will have unique hairstyles. Most notibly Emmy Rossum, Bulma, will wear a blue wig.
Hey, or maybe they'll add the tail later, you know like CGI or something. I think that would be the best approach to the whole tail thing. But then again I don't really think they'll give him one. But hey, we can dream can't we?Sedorna wrote:

Goku didn't appear to have a tail in the picture of him on the set, did he? Either he never had a tail, or his tail was already removed. I hope it's the latter. (Or the tail's just not visible from that angle.)
Well, I'd like to have some reference to the tail. Maybe something like this. Chi Chi has been described as Goku's lifelong love interest. However, I've also heard that they meet at a youth festival. So, maybe their meeting could go something like:MisterFlashdude wrote:
I'd be shocked if they introduced Kinto'un, Nyoi-bo, or Goku's tail.
Well, yeah. They'll probably reference it as being removed by Gohan when Goku was little when Piccolo brings up his Saiya-jin heritage. After all, Gohan's alive... so we can only assume Goku didn't get to step on him like he damn well should have...Sedorna wrote:Well, I'd like to have some reference to the tail. Chi Chi: Goku! It's you isn't it? It's me, Chi Chi! Remember? We used to play together when we were kids. Hey, what happened to your tail?
He's playing Bardock in the movie, of course!DaemonCorps wrote: EDIT: From what I could read from the article, it looks like the translation's pretty accurate. Though since I had to go to wordreference.com to look up a bunch of those words, I can't say for sure. Augh, where's Bardock the Mexican when you need him?
Toriyama would turn that into a penis joke for sure.Chi Chi: Goku! It's you isn't it? It's me, Chi Chi! Remember? We used to play together when we were kids. Hey, what happened to your tail?
It's one thing to expect that from the 12 year old monkey boy, who hasn't seen a single human being in his life with the exception of his grandfather...Gyt Kaliba wrote:LOL, The S just made me think of something - while we may get the Kinto'un, the Nyoibo, and maybe even a perverted Roshi, I'm assuming Goku's pat-pat test is out? If so, I would be officially disappointed cuz a scene with that would make the film epic for at least that scene.
And of course I like Granda Gohan! In fact, I've always been disappointed that Toriyama never reintroduced the character after Goku died and went to heaven.Gyt Kaliba wrote:LOL! As much as it is only right for it to have been accurate in Goku crushing his granpda, feels kinda bad to be groaning over it.
Is there no love for Grandpa Gohan?

(Raises a hand up) Um... can someone translate? Or perhaps give an example the rest of us would understand? No offense, man, but I have no idea what you just said. And of course I like Granda Gohan! But he was suppose to die! Look at it this way...
What if they were re-making the Harry Potter movies, but instead of his parents being killed my Voldemort when Harry was just a baby, they aren't killed until just before Harry goes to Hogwarts...
Now, Harry would still become famous if they had Voldemort disappear then instead of earlier... But Harry would have to be different.
Instead of being confused about the magic world, and left soft-spoken by the treatment of his aunt and uncle, he'd be an entirely new character.
Instead of growing up alone in the wild, Goku will have Gohan his entire childhood.
