Its fun, but is there any other version of Goku's clothes other than the Kame symbol? Also, the english dub is really weird. The lip syncing sucks ass. And Sean Schemmel is saying stuff like "Kaio-ken" and "I am Son Goku" (not that I mind).

Whoah...wait.....what? Son Goku being uttered by Sean Schemmel....huh? Hell is frozen solid right now....

Why the hell can't he say this in the dub?

Not that it matters to those of us who already have the game in hand, but the blog has been updated as of yesterday night.

I read the cut scenes are censored. Is this true?

Well, ya got Kaioken and Son Goku being spoken aloud, I dunno how much more UNcut you can get, by Funimation standards.

I am now putting the voices on English just to hear him say those words.

Awesome.

Hm, it seems the more I play this, the more I enjoy it.
A load of little things have been thrown in there, just to keep it interesting, for example, one of Bardocks drama pieces is Goku jumping in the way of a huge blast (the way Piccolo did for Gohan), followed by " Sorry.. Dad.. ", and after, Bardock says " K..kakarotto... "
Things like this keep me interested, things we havn't seen before!
I hope to much more like this in the game!

Cut as in censored cutscenes with animation...

I haven't played the game yet, but that seems extremely unlikely.

o_O. KAI-oh Ken? AWESOME!
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
It was awesome to hear "Son Goku" with language settings to English.

Now! A few things about the game;

I've just noticed in one costume Freeza has Saiyan armour, and in another (his default) he has no armour, I thought that was quite a neat little touch. I'm loving the transformations, the combat in general, and the music is quite good, though it doesn't have as many rocking tunes as Budokai 3 did.

I'd love for there to be a way to play as battle damaged Goku and Gohan like in Z-Chronicles mode, and love to fight with the Goku vs Freeza music, but I can't seem to find a stage that has it.

Ranked online play is absolutely riddled with beam spammers, and Vegeta whores (His Big Bang Attack is a formidable one, and his Final Flash, which requires a paltry 3 ki bars to use, does over a full bars worth of damage). Non-ranked online play is absolutely full of the other kind of people, the ones who love to have fun playing and don't spam crap and make fights a bit unfair, so stick to that unless you absolutely must raise your online power level :D

Story mode was good enough, it wasn't too long, and it left out important details like it assumed we knew the plot, which is a first really, and I'm glad it turned out this way. Bardock's little what-if is pretty damn good, as far as what-ifs go, and so is Broly's.

PS; I'm also glad they've gone that extra bit in to detail with Bardock and Goku, as if you play as Bardock and have Goku as a support, he'll actually say "Dad, take this Senzu!" etc, it warmed my heart!

All in all, this game is a step in the right direction, and it can only really get better from here, I'm going to have a lot of fun playing this from now, it's best to blast through story, get your characters/drama pieces, and go to town in VS mode with your friends, online or offline.

It's not the fully polished experience that Budokai 3 was very close to being, I take back what I said about a step in the right direction, this is leaps and bounds in the right direction for next gen DBZ :)

Phew...

Does anyone feel a little cheated in regards to characters alternate outfits? I know it shouldn't really matter. But I wish Goku had more than just a different color version of his Kame outfit. Why can't I select his battle damaged outfit?

But on a positive, SSJ Future Trunks in the armor and sword is totally badass!

*sigh*

I wonder who they think they're impressing. Oh well. It's bound to happen, seeing as their's a ranked system. Now that I've hit level 40 in HALO 3, I'm stuck dealing with campers and rocket whores the entire game.

Maybe in the next game they can take the leader boards off, that way it isn't riddled with beam spammers.

I'll pick this up without a doubt. After my 360 gets fixed...

Just got the game this morning (I'm in the UK) I haven't played it yet but I will give it a work out this weekend. One thing I will say in response to all the 'why didn't they add this & that' comments is that they have essentially hit the reset button on the Budokai series for the next gen systems. They can't add everything that was in part 3 plus more since they would have nowhere to go with a sequel. It's most probable that they deliberately only included Budokai 1-esque features so they would give consumers a reason to buy Burst Limit 2, 3 and then maybe 'Sparking' etc. ;)

The fans will get what they want eventually, but not before paying lots of money and waitng another couple of years! Thems the breaks!

Its pretty downright disgraceful that they didn't add that awesome awesome outfit. I mean, for gods sake, its THERE in the story mode.

Yeah, it's kind of strange.
Perhaps we'll see a few outfits in DLC? Who knows, I'm not sure I'd pay for it unless there was a good deal of outfits that came in the download, but eh.

My Gamertag is JoeAdey, anyone who wants a decent (I hope) online match with minimal beam spamming and cheap tactics, go ahead and add me :P

It was in a french review I read about the game being "censored". What I know for sure is that the dialogue subs are very wrong (because I have a friend knows japanese and tested the game along with the Norwegian gamereactor guy), which is such a shame.

Damn !
Here in Europe the english voices don't fits with the animation ...

The game is really cool, i bought it today with the PlayStation 3, the gameplay is awesome and the graphic too !
Wow, Kamehameha isn't Kamyeyhyaymyeyhya !
The italian translation (only subtitles) sucks, but it is in all games after Budokai 3 ...
Why the damned Atari-Europe don't make a fu**ing dub of his porting games ?
It's really strange hear "Son Goku" with the Goku's american voice !

The dialogues censored ?
It's normal, i watched a funimation's DBZ episode, what the hell, all dialogues without original sense !

The only problem it's the number of characters and stages ...

So the game came out in the UK already?. quite surprising, considering how horrible game companies are at realeasing games over there. Cool that you guys got it.

I'm guessing that the version of the game that everyone is talking 'bout is the UK version, Is there any difference?.
