Vegetto is a pretty cool guy. He beats up Majin Buu and doesn't afraid of anything.
That's because his power level was feasably in the quadrilions. No joke. SSJ is a x50 multiplyer, while Potara multiplies one "fusee's" power by the other. If Vegeta and Goku had PLs over 4.47 Million (which is VERY plausible), than base Vegetto will have a PL in the 20 Trillions. 20 Trillion x50 = 1 Quadrillion. That's 1,000,000,000,000,000!

NO WONDER PLS WERE ABANDONED BY THE GUIDEBOOKS!

And thus ends my Vegetto fangasm. :P

I was not making fun of you; I was being serious. In the SEG we learned that Potara works by multiplying the the strengths of the people being fused, and it's confirmed that SSJ is a x50 multiplier of the base strength. In other words, Boo saga has crazy high PLs.

I never thought of it that way. It's an assumption, but an interesting one.

Personally, I thought it was more like the two powers would be added together, then multiplied by X -- we just don't know how much X is. It would still result in a huge amount of power, though.

Ahaaaa... this is awkward.

Would it help if I mentioned I never go on 4chan, or should I just go ahead and swallow the foot in my mouth? :P

I think it would do more than help... I think the fact that you avoid it is a credit to your character.

I've never been... but it seems like the darkest alley of the internet. If Batman's parents were going to get killed anywhere on the internet, it would be on 4chan.

"(name) is a pretty cool guy", as far as I knew, was an independently-realized joke on this site/forum/podcast going with the vague descriptions in the Japanese guide books for the DB series. The "joke" was that there are all these exciting blurbs of text that we hope say something interesting and useful, and typically say nothing more than something like "(name) is a pretty cool guy!" To hear that at least the first part of it also has origins in such a place... ugh... Remind me to never say it again.

Getting back on subject, I actually read through everything in this series straight-through for the first time yesterday. While I really enjoyed the basic concept of it, I had a really hard time getting through it. I just found it terribly uninteresting. I guess I'm more interested in the interactions between characters and the reasons how/why these universes came to be the way they are... rather than the fighting.

And honestly, when you read it straight through, it's overwhelming nothing but fighting.

On top of that, the fights do not seem to be all that well-paced. Perhaps it's the way this series is being created? Is it page-by-page? If so, the author's perception on the pacing is going to be drastically different than the reader's, especially one that's not reading page-by-page upon individual release. I suppose I could go back and read the early pages of this thread for more information...

That all being said, I'm still interested to see where it goes...

Yeah, I believe the series is done by page. We get new pages Wendsdays and Sundays and I assume that the fights are planned like so. For a fan comic, it's actually quite well put together, but it could stand to improve in several fields. At least there does seem to be a sense of foreboding, what with the supposed knowledge of Broli...and that opening teaser. I'm interested in seeing how the tournament goes but I do wish the pace was a little better.

Worst. Site. Ever.

(That's right. I hate 4chan. Surprised?)

Well I couldn't just leave him hanging out to dry, he misunderstood what I said so I explained it to him, is that so wrong?

Besides it's not like every 4channer is a low life, I mean hey look at me. I go there from time to time and you could say that I'm a pretty cool guy 8)

That's exactly it: 2 pages a week (Wednesdays and Sundays). If you follow it as each page comes out, it's fairly exciting. As an overall read, however, you're absolutely right. Only the protagonists should have their fights showcased, like in the Budokai preliminaries.

New page up! I can imagine Cell blow up Dabura in the next page. :P And what is up with this Cell? Does it has amnesia or what? Because he is forgetting about Gohan when it says Dabura is the strongest guy it fought.

Presumably, this version of Cell never got his ass kicked by Gohan in his universe.

Still SSJ2 Gohan should be a lot stronger than Dabura.
