To me there could be all kinds of reasons for his stature. He could very well be some sort of midget, that's why he had no skill at fighting. Or they could tell that he aged even slower than most Saiyans, which kept him from being a good fighter. Or the planet he' been on could keep him from aging.
I don't know, but like a lot of things in the story, I don't really need an explination.

"Sometimes life is too uncertain to have regrets"- Goku
Sometimes I think the anime should just stop so it doesn't become something like "The Simpsons" where it's way past its prime.
I still believe it should have ended at Freeza. I enjoyed the Cell saga, but anything after was just bad...
I mean they've basically covered every possible scenario and invented hours of filler... just saying.

I also enjoyed the Buu arc. In retrospect the androids themselves never really interested me much, but I found stuff like Goku's illness and time travel really interesting.
Also liked the Buu arc because the end of Cell was such a downer for the entire Son family (Goku's dead and Chi-Chi's left pregnant and alone) and Vegeta (who vowed to never fight ever again). At least with Buu the Son family's reunited and Vegeta gets over his depression.

I like playing Kid Buu in DBZ games but that's about it. Could have done without him in the actual series.SSJ2bardock wrote:So your saying there's nothing from the Buu arc that you enjoyed at all? I'm curious
Hey, that's an idea. Maybe the video games should make totally original stories and they should leave the anime alone!

I can't possibly consider wanting to end the series at Cell or Frieza. This would mean taking out of existence several great things, like Saiyaman, Gotenks, Mr. Satan's most prominent and entertaining role, several entertaining gag manga aspects of Buu, that really nifty Super Saiyan 3 design...hell, a HELL of a lot of kickass character designs...
And...the ending.
Now, I'm all for tragic endings. A happy ending every time gets boring, and a tragic ending can really make you think in the way that a happy ending simply CAN'T. But....
...for Dragon Ball, I wouldn't want it. I'm sorry, but that adorable little jungle boy that started off on a fantastical adventure...no matter how much he has to grow up, I wouldn't want it to end with the violent explosion and death-filled hell that Namek would have been as an ending. Nor would I have really wanted Goku to be torn apart by yet another violent planet-destroying explosion at the end of the Cell saga.
It just seems more fitting, to me. The Z and GT endings...work, on the level that it doesn't completely turn around from what Dragon Ball originally was. Yes, Goku grows older, and in some ways he does grow up. He even has some really nasty experiences over the years. But at the end of the day, Dragon Ball is about adventure, fun, martial arts, and Shonen idealism so thick you could choke on it.

The Buu aga added several things to the mythology of the series. rom Kaioshins to Fusion. The storytelling as incredible with all the false finishes. Even doing good bits of character work with Vegeta.
Ending it with Cell would have been a mistake. Vegeta's character arc was far from finished. As was Gohan's and even Krillian's.
Where are all of the great defenders of the live action movie here?
2oth century Foxs abortion gets more slack than Toriyama himself, Disgraceful.
As for Table. He looks young for his age. Someone can say its not realistic. But you know he also

Turns into a giant monke during a full moon.
Is married to a litle yellow alien he size of a porcelin doll.
I don't think him being a young looking 39 matters.

I watched the season premiere last night and laughed non stop. It still has a very large dedicated fanbase and still winning awards.Sometimes I think the anime should just stop so it doesn't become something like "The Simpsons" where it's way past its prime.

Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Radditz, Nappa, Bardock, and every other Saiyan we've seen also had tails and turned into giant monkeys during full moons. It didn't stop any of them from aging.Victator Supreme wrote:The Buu aga added several things to the mythology of the series. rom Kaioshins to Fusion.
