Bookstores get books way ahead of their release date. They remain in the back until the date they're supposed to be put out.

Because of this, (the warehouses having them ahead of time), if you order a book at the online stores, you can get it before it hits shelves most of the time.

Aw man, I was hoping that wasn't the case. I saw on some other forums that some people saw some copies at their local Borders/Barnes and Noble.
