I just wanted to come back to you on that one....because, well...i didn't quite see what you were going with the rest of it or why it was written in reply to a quote of mine that had nothing to do with what you were saying

I remember fun....from back when all i had, in terms of Dragon Ball games (1997, seven years-old), was Final Bout (but what do i know? That might just be the elitist in me talking :P)

Seriously, though. Has anyone posted anything about how the movesets work? (controls, what you can actually do with the controller and whatnot) Because i kinda wanted to check that out, since all i've seen was gameplay...
The problem with the Naruto fanbase is that they whine about any strategy being used on online play.

It's still far too early.
If we do get one its probably gonna be Europe only. Oh well.

At least, I think so. I can't actually tell -- the posts I've read from you so far are near-incomprehensible. It seems as if you're telling people they shouldn't have any expectations or hopes at all because it's "good enough" compared to games for the franchise in the past.

That's not how it works. As I said, people are allowed to think and hope for whatever they want. Do we hope they have REASONABLE expectations and can articulate them well when talking about it here? Sure do!

Knock off your "lolz" speak and actually contribute to a friendly discussion, or please find another place to discuss things. It's great that you think the game looks fantastic and you're excited for it, but you don't speak for everyone else.

I understand you're the moderator, but refrain from using your position to attack me. Please ! I'm not telling anyone how to have " opinions " and I say that in quotes for a reason. I WASN'T the first one to mention the DBZ followers " elitist " attitude but the term seemed rather fitting. I understand you're anal about the grammer thing (nothing wrong with that), but don't wave an ironfist around about it and expect me to sacrifice my individuality because of it. Is this a forum or Rikers Island ?

I also miss the part where I give you the impression that I'm spamming " lolz ", cause you addressing me would only be about that if I wasn't actually speaking like you say I'm not. Clearly I am. My " lolz " aren't ill placed. You're completely misinterpreting the way I have a friendly discussion. I'm not beefing with anyone. I stand firm, and deliver sharply my unbiased expression. I'm on here to do that and remain copacetic about it, not to make friends. I got good feedback from my first post if you followed. That wouldn't be the case if I posted with my claws out, which I don't. So there's no issue here.

On topic: I'm looking at the bigger picture. Is this a good game or not ? Right now.... Yes. I have an eye for these things. But hey, that's my well tuned intuition. I can worry about getting a stroke because Son Goku's gi not being correct for the corresponding arc AFTERWARDS.

Shin_Chou_Senshi, your response makes very little sense to me, so forgive me if I'm not addressing it in full.

It is my job and responsibility to ensure that conversations continue politely and without broad generalizations and personal attacks, all of which you've managed to do. You agreed to a certain set of rules prior to registration, and if you do not feel you can abide by them, you are welcome to find another community to participate in.

Your own personal opinion (specifically with regard to this new game) was not attacked or compromised -- your inability to converse properly with your fellow fans was pointed out. Again, if you cannot simply follow the rules you agreed to prior to registration, this is not the place for you. You are NOT being polite -- your "firm" statements have so far been little more than attacks on your fellow fans while simultaneously judging them negatively for having the gall to express their own feelings. The community will not stand for such nonsense, so please knock it off. This is going to be your last friendly reminder before the moderation team will take action against your account.

Carry on with the gaming conversation, folks! Thanks!

Has anyone mentioned that the Dragon Ball Age site updated?

I am so goddamn sick of people on YouTube saying that Kikuchi's score sucks and Faulconer's score needs to be in this game instead. I am showing no mercy to these people.

No? Probably because for most people, like me, the page refused to update without a hard refresh... Nothing new anyway.

So, no mercy for you either Sir.

I am aware of this, but if they were REAL fans of the show they would atleast tolerate the Kikuchi's score at the most. I personally like some of Faulconer's score, but damnit, Bruce Faulconer is a dead subject. People need to stop worshiping his score so much. It's okay to like it, but to praise it as if it were god is too much. Kikuchi's score is still being used today, but where is Faulconer's score? Long gone, never to be used again.

I'm sorry. I am just mad at these people who practically say Bruce Faulconer is god. I didn't really mean the "real fan" thing like THAT, but still, these people on YouTube don't have any intelligence to back up what they're saying.

First off, go check the stores, the orange bricks are still selling, guess what score is playing on the official DBZ website [the US] and what score is being played on the PSN and 360? Faulconer score.

With all your comments and hating on people who like the Faulconer score, you are opning yourself up to the same thing with the JP score.

And by the way, being a REAL fan or not......that doesn't have anything to do with the score you prefer. Are you saying that people who enjoy the Dub of the show aren't real fans?

Personally, I play on the PS3, so I rock out with Faulconer anyways instead of the made up scores they put in the games anyway.

I'm not hating on Faulconer fans directly, just the ignorant ones (the typical DBZ fan on YouTube). And again, I didn't mean the "real fan" thing like that (a "real fan" being someone who only watches the Japanese version)... I kinda meant a real fan of the series, being a person who actually watches and enjoys the series, and also has known about it for quite a while. The case with the typical DBZ fan on YouTube is usually like this, they probably just got into it recently, they don't watch it that much (but if they do, again, they probably just got into it), and they still claim to know every single little thing about the series.

I'm gonna end this now before this turns into something that goes hugely off-topic.

(I really used a poor choice of words in my second post.)

Umm, no it's not. That score has been completely abandoned for all current and future endeavors, as near as we can tell. It's still present on the orange bricks 'cuz those are years-old productions that happen to still be in-print. The musical score via FUNimation's official streaming and online download services is the Kikuchi score (with the exception of a replacement opening theme song).

Back to the video game, though, huh?

Comic Con is in two weeks right? I'd like to see more gameplay footage. Other than that, I'm not really going to bother speculating on what this game could offer because I feel Spike has already gone as far as they could. If there is one little hope I have, it's a whole what if story arc that comes complete with fully playable characters that aren't SSj3.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I'm really curious about that new Special mode they talked about in that French/Japanese interview. The only thing they said about it so far, was that it would include new characters. Hopefully it will be something surprising us and not be GT characters since we already know they will be in the game.

There might be GT characters never before seen in a game like Rildo, the rest of the Shadow Dragons, Baby, Ledgic etc..

Rildo is overdue for some shine. GT Trunks, GT Goten. GT Gohan, and GT Vegeta also should join the fray. Thinking about it, if they don't skimp/summarize the GT story arc, it'll perhaps have a lot of huge boss battles.

GT versions of Trunks & Vegeta have actually been playable, though not in the same game. I'm not necessarily happy that GT is being included, but only because I have a bad feeling that the Z roster will suffer for a tacked on small group of GT characters. It's going to happen, though, so hopefully there will be a decent selection. The Super Saiyan 4 characters + three main bad guys does not a full roster make.
