Would Piccolo Daimao have returned if Goku hadn't hit his head? It's hard to say what Pilaf would be up to if Goku hadn't foiled him twice.

Pilaf would rule the world?? Or Goku destroys Earth in a couple of nights.

The Dark Age of Comic Books (Poor art, poor storylines, when "heroes" were mass murderers, huge guns and pouches).

Oh look! Another "special" chapter. I'll come back as soon as it ends. Not even bothering with those anymore.

This should be fun. I'm interested to see how the humans react to all this, and what the hell is going on with evil Goku, or I should say, Kakarotto. The earth could be in an apocalyptic state like in Trunks future. I'm very curious...

But shouldn't Roshi and Tao both be more powerful than Kakarotto at that point?

Edit: Maybe Roshi spared Kakarot in a previous fight (as our Goku would have), and he lived in solitude training for years like Piccolo did. Then Raditz shows up and they kill everyone in an Androids style beat down.

And I guess for that to work Bussani's theory about Pilaf never setting Piccolo free would have to be the way it went down.

It still wouldn't stop Pilaf's quest for the Dragonballs. Remember, Roshi had no idea about what the dragonballs were. But Roshi would have encountered Pilaf as the Dragonball was around his neck. Guess they got into a fight and Roshi dominated them?

Pilaf probably was never able to get the Dragon Ball from Fry-pan without Roshi's Kamehameha. And even if he did, he probably wouldn't be able to get the Dragon Ball from Roshi's necklace.

I agree with this sentiment. There are a lot of ways that Roshi vs Goku could've went down that could have ultimately ended in Goku's favor.

1. Roshi defeats Goku, but abstains from killing him, deciding that Goku has learned his lesson to never commit evil again, which could work if Goku's misdemeanors up to this point were relatively minor. Perhaps this Goku pulls a cunning facade of "I'm sorry, I learned my lesson!" false penance that Raditz pulled on Goku.

2. Roshi decides that Goku is a serious threat and that he needs to be destroyed for good, but Roshi develops cold feet at the prospect of killing a twelve year old boy and leaves him for dead.

3. Roshi thinks he killed Goku but underestimates Sayajin durability. Perhaps he blasts Goku away with a Kamehameha or uses the Bankoku Bikkuri Shō on Goku until he stops moving and Roshi assumes that there is no way Goku could've survived those attacks.

In any of these cases, Goku recovers from the verge of death over the course of months, and eventually nourishes himself to the point of his former health, at which point he gets a massive Zenkai for nearly surviving the brink of death. He is now strong enough to take down anyone and learns the Kamehameha just from seeing it once, if Roshi used it on him (which would be likely). It's unlikely that Tao would fight Goku before Roshi, since Goku would have to do some serious damage to the Red Ribbon Army first. It's more likely that Goku terrorizes, destroys, and plunders several towns/villages to the point where it makes the news. Since Roshi has access to TV, he could stumble upon this urgent news report. If the police aren't enough to stop him (which is very likely since Goku would retain his relative bullet immunity and would only get stronger with each village he destroys) and if Goku would be too illusive for the military, Roshi would decide that he, the "Strongest Man on Earth," would have to come out of reclusion and deal with Goku himself. Eventually he'd track Goku down and the aforementioned scenarios would play out. Roshi could incapacitate Goku and carry him to the police to be arrested, but I can see that scenario failing as well:

1. The police are incredulous that this little innocent boy is the threat that is terrorizing the villages and they distrust Roshi.

2. Goku regains consciousness and escapes before Roshi makes it to the nearest Police HQ.

3. Goku is imprisoned but gains power from his near-death encounter with Roshi and, after recuperating, breaks out of jail.

It's a real shame that the creators of Dragon Ball Multiverse went for the most boring aspect of a theoretical "evil Goku" timeline: Raditz's arrival. It's fairly predictable that Raditz will search and find Goku, they'll reacquaint with another and shoot the shit for a while, then kill everything. Will Raditz and/or Goku kill icons like Tein, Yamcha, Roshi and others? You bet. it's a shame because the paragraph that I wrote above is just a smattering of ways that they could've done "evil" Goku's childhood. They could have gotten really creative. Oh well, I'm sure this will be an enjoyable special nonetheless.

It's not the art that bothers me, oh no. I can over look that. It's Tenshinhan's clothes!
