I don't know what to say.

I'm probably going to watch this ten more times until I become tired of it. Then I'll just watch it again because I know that will never happen. Lanipator and MasakoX are so lucky. They have the perfect excuse to yell out Kamehameha or "Garlic" Gun without sounding like dorks.

I know, I'm not saying it's a bad episode. The acting and all the other stuff was still top notch, just not as funny as some of the other episodes.

The drama runs high in this episode, so the comedy is a little more subtle and there's more buildup that constant, rapid fire jokes.

The second part should have a fair amount more, though.

"Moooooon!" and "giant monkey" was enough on the comedy side to keep me satiated. Hell, even the random cut "back on the ranch" was pretty snicker-worthy. I get that it's a fighting episode, so you can't really get that much in comedy-wise, so I'm good

The one thing I'm a bit disappointed about is the bit right before Vegeta shoots his artificial moon into the sky. I was just sitting there waiting for some kind of reference to Bardock being a brilliant scientist and got nothin'. Still awesome work and I can't wait to see the following two parts.

It was a good episode, but it's not funny like the previuos ones.

Maybe bacause Nappa, Piccolo and Kuririn are not in it. Let's wait for Yajirobe and what he will do.

And the narration... I wouldn't say it's weak, but it didn't feels as good as the previuos times.

Yeah, me too. I was expecting it to be somthing like this:

Vegeta: "We have the artificial moon thanks for your father who was a brilliant scientist BTW."
Goku: "My father... was a scientist?!"

[cut away to Burdock]

Burdock: "For the last time... I . am not. A SCIENTIST!!"

Heh, just realized that King Kai never had a crystal ball. Then again, it was a good way to cut off the episode.

And just as another nitpicky fanboy, I was also kinda expecting some kind of Porygon seizure reference during the beam struggle scene

Happy one year anniversary guys! Man, when I use DBZA as a benchpoint, this past year has really flown by! I remember when I first watched the first episode (which was actually before this thread had been made), and how I instantly fell in love with the (abridged) series. DBZA was the first abridged parody series I had ever seen, and it has been a very enjoyable adventure following the story and each and every little bonus feature. Mainly I just want to say "thank you" to KaiserNeko, Takahata101, Lanipator, Megami33, HBI2K, MasakoX, Vegeta3986, Ganxingba and everyone else who has been a part of this wonderful project, for giving me an intangible object I can love so much!

Anyway, Would I be wrong to expect Part 2 to be out on Wednesday?
