Towa and Mira are just stealing energy. While Demigra is overloading time, creating events that shouldn't happen to make a crack in his seal and escape, he doesn't give a damn about changing story he makes that clear when you fix everything. He just needs the things that didn't happen to create a crack in his seal

No, the only portion in Future Trunks' timeline is the stuff actually in his timeline: battling the future versions of 17, 18 and Cell that threaten to erase Trunks from existence if Towa has her way.

While I agree because I love Xenoverse and Onlines additions to the story, I will say I'm only doing the whole created character thing because I have to. So his actual attitude about the matter is meh, but it's not like his viewpoint is abnormal.

Also, it's clearly stated in the game that history shouldn't be able to change (like Trunks says) because of the methods typically used for time travel. The way Towa and Demigra do it are special though, very similarly to the Book of Endings and Beginnings, as well as the special time machine the Time Kaioshin developed to take care of the Runaway Time Fragments known as Parallel Quests.

Maybe a type of fan that has only played raging blast 2 and this game in where none of them managed to tell the proper story of dragon ball z. Not only the character creator sucks in this game, even if it didnt, I look up to goku and not somebody who has no character development or back storyline for me to bother to care about him. I guess thats what happens when Western RPGS start to take over JRPG market.

I played the prologue and thats what hooked me on this game only to realise that these were false hopes. The storyline is just a big mess. I would have loved too see an actual Dragon ball game dedicated to the storyline, just like how naruto broken bond games managed to tell their story. you get to view the game from the manga/anime point of view, travel to planet namek while in the space ship, have completely open world gameplay and scaled planet worlds, do side quests, and enjoy the game story that is impossible to appreciate just by watching anime because you don't see every single screen shot or what is happening off scene.

I'm sorry this game doesn't conform perfectly to your tastes, but you aren't the only fan of the franchise. There are plenty of us who have been around the block for a decade or two now and we're getting a little tired of playing things the exact same way every year. If you want to relive that original story, while some of them may not be perfect, you do have plenty of options. There's have been over a dozen other games in just the last decade that rehash the same plot from the last 20 years as seen in the manga, the anime, and even the ani-manga. I suggest going and picking up one of them to preoccupy your time for a while and letting those of us craving this new blood actually enjoy it. You didn't get what you wanted this year, but you can hope for the game you want next year.

Hit the nail on the head, so many good points and most of all this game is making a huge amount of people who grew up with Dragonball and new comers happy, continuing the franchise in a great way.

I agree so much with TheDevilsCorpse part of what makes this game so great is in my opinion we're getting the same story with a twist on it and a new story. I hope this game starts a trend were we're getting a new boss and story with each game.

DB's story has been done pretty much the same way for like 15 years now lol. I love that they're changing it up

I agree with the earlier remarks on Wakamoto... he sounds very little like his original performance. The essence of Cell is very lacking here.

While I'm not one to rage at a game, and this one has nothing as bullshitty as the utterly stupid "one-hp" missions from Raging Blast 2......Fuck the PQ47 quest given by Trunks. My character is 58, I make it all the way through this grueling gauntlet of families, only to end up with Goku bringing himself back to life after expending all my healing items. And I'm told that the actual PQ is even more insane, since Vegetto and Gotenks join in, but at least for that you have teammates.

Got Whis' Ultimate though. That thing is insane against multiple enemies.

So, if I'm just grinding for experience, no items or anything, what mission would be the best? I've been doing PQ15 because of DBs and stuff, but there isn't a guaranteed time patroller, so Z rank isn't always going to happen.

A bit late, but I just go through the Beerus portion of the story, and any of the BoG-trio PQ's. They give 10k+ experience and tons of zenni

Alright, that seems like the best to do, I will probably Max Ki blast supers. I'll reallocate points with the dragon bals, how is your stat spread on health, max ki and stamina? do you also put a bit into basic attacks?

I posted this in its own thread but then I remembered there was a main thread. I'm having trouble with the controls. I finally broke down and bought Xenoverse. I lasted like 4 days. So I bought it on Steam so I could play with my brothers. And I ran into problems immediately.

So I didn't like the default controls. I wanted to change the controls, which is a pretty basic feature in all video games, right? Well Xenoverse on PC didn't quite get it right. That's kind of snarky to say but, man, this was a very disappointing revelation. All the options are there. They just don't work. At all. When you try to change the buttons, the dialog box prompts you to enter the key you would like.. And... Nothing happens. The only thing I can do is escape from the dialog box with ESC on the Keyboard. It might be my off brand PC controller. I don't really want to buy a controller just for this game though...

After that I tried a few different things. I tried to remap the controls in Windows, but Windows 7 disabled that feature. It used to be present in Windows XP, but now you can no longer natively remap the buttons in the OS. Damn. So because of the poor programming in the PC version of Xenoverse, I was forced to turn to external programs. I installed god knows what on my machine just to get the damn controller to work. None of the programs helped me out. One of them even caused my mouse to stop working.. Great. Another problem to fix. I just want to play the freaking game.

I figured out how to manually change the controls by modifying the configuration file. Then I found a problem that I would have run into if the controller configuration worked in the first place. Changing battle controls also changes the controls to navigate the menu. So now I have to use the shoulder button to accept and the top button to go back. That's very unintuitive but the battles are what is really important here so I can deal with that. Or at least use the keyboard for menus.

So then I try to battle with my configuration all set up. And wouldn't you know it, there are some keys I want to configure that ARENT IN THE CONFIGURATION FILE. So now I have lock-on and skill display set as the same key and there is no way to fix this. It makes the game unplayable with my controller. I simply cannot win. I quit. I'll pick up the game and try to actually play another time when my blood pressure drops a little bit. This is insane.

TL;DR: I just want to change my controls. This turns out to be a lot more trouble than its worth. And the PC port of Xenoverse has some serious flaws right out the gate. But I'm trying again now. And its a pretty cool game overall.

I've got, roughly (going off the top of my head), 40 in health, 30 in ki, 20 in stamina, 20 in basic attacks, 10 in strike supers, and 50 in ki blast supers. I'm putting more into basic attacks at the moment, so that I can get more damage in while I attack in order to supplement my ki regeneration.
