If it's anything like our UK release, it will look beautiful:
Can you imagine though! Oh god.

Not trying to get off topic, but is Funimation doing the blu ray version off the original footage, or the remastered footage? For Cowboy Bebop I mean. I can't tell with these images.

I seem to remember it being confirmed that FUNi had simply licensed the existing Bluray footage from Japan for that one, but I can't remember for certain. Either way, I'd see that as more likely than them remastering it on their own. They tend to only do that for titles that don't have an existing Bluray treatment.

The Blu-ray release of Cowboy Bebop in Japan has an absurd problem. All the episodes including SD digital animation shots were produced in 24p, so they could keep them progressive, but the ending credits were digitally added in 60i and they decided to interlace entire episodes just for them. FUNi's will be the same I guess.

Don't forget that you are only an amateur. You will never be able to provide the same level of picture degradation as a professional company who has a "team of super-geniuses"

Compared to Orange Bricks and this new abomination, your example still looks better
By the way, calling FUNimation "amateurs" would definitely be an insult to

Whatever. I'll get the blu rays for two reasons:
1. Want to hear the Japanese track in 5.1 Stereo (it's not 6.1, but it's leagues ahead of the Mono track on DVD)
2. Blu Rays can last you 60 years. DVDs are too unpredictable. I take care of all of my DVDs, and inexplicably some of my Dragon Box dvds skip at times.
Bonus:
3. Those Blu Ray front covers are legitimately amazing. Bravo to FUNI on that one.

We don't know if the Japanese track is 5.1. It just says 'Remastered Japanese' on the site. Everything else is designated a format except for the Japanese track.

Here's what I think was the trailer that was taken down:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TejxgCh9bSg
"You might think you know everything there is to know about me, but really, you're not even CLOSE."
"Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy." ~ Sir Winston Chruchill / Dragon Ball Z in a nutshell
How I enjoy the anime:

Yup, there's a link on the Kanzenshuu homepage that links to my initial mirror prior to this person taking it and reuploading it.

I hope it's really only you.
It's not only him. All the screenshots look great, except perhaps the Piccolo one.

If
these shots are an indication of what's on the BluRay, I think it's pitiful. They have basically removed every trace of grain at the expense of detail.
I'll give FUNI the benefit of the doubt until I see an actual screenshot, but if these are accurate, I'll just cancel my order. That is not worth my money - not even at that price point.
Thank God I already have the DragonBox.

Most people on Kanzenshuu are not representative of the average American fan.

I'm pretty sure all Shonen anime are aimed at children.......

If the average American fan actually thinks this garbage is good then I weep for American fans.
