The ratings wouldn't have come out that fast.

There wasn't a huge boost for the start of the Universe 6 saga so I wouldn't overestimate how well this episode is gonna do.

Yeah no. The ratings don't come out until the week actually starts. While I wouldn't deny a boost, I don't think it would be like that, though I would like it.

I still don't think it's going to happen, Super isn't THAT popular even with Future Trunks back.

Even if Super does absolutely wonderful, it'd be kinda hard for it to do more than tie One Piece, given that they air on the same channel and one segues directly into the other. A scenario where Super surpasses One Piece relies on large amounts of people either changing the channel or turning their TV off the moment Super ends, which just...doesn't match the existing trends. If viewers of the One Piece anime were going to drop it en masse, they'd have already done it years ago, because the anime has had the same problems since roughly 2008.

That 7.9 could very well be accurate. 2ch'ers often get ratings in advance, before the official top 10 comes out, and i've seen people throwing this one around.

As for why Super won't beat OP, it's simply down to the timeslots: One Piece actually benefits from DB getting a high rating. If they changed places, with OP being DB's lead-in, i have no doubt Super could be able to do it. In fact, that would be the logical outcome.

It's impossible, the higher super's ratings are the higher one piece's will be. If one piece was the lead in then Super would definitely have beaten it this week

What's also interesting is that it was just an average week at best for everyone, nothing special. It wasn't one of those weeks where everyone gets a rise, Super was the only series with a better than usual performance.
And Conan seems to be on a lower level lately. Maybe the combo with Ace Attorney isn't working as well as the previous one with Kindaichi.
