The Mafuba could indeed be an awesome game mechanic: The bottle with the sealed enemy could stay on the stage, and the trapped character could only escape, if an other fighter of his team will break it with an attack. I don't think we ever saw something like that in a fighting game.
Only problem with that is when stage transitions occur, but I guess the stroke of the "transition punch" could move the bottle to the new stage as well.

Buff transformation would be awesome too, but at that state Roshi also has longer legs/arms plus all the animations needed to be adjusted too unlike with Golden Freeza who is basically a skin change. So it would require as much work as a new character almost, and I doubt that they would go for it, but his transformation for super moves could still work fine. (like SSJ3 Goku)

His electric attack that paralyzes opponents (forget it's name) could also work well for a combo start-up.

All they need to get around is that he can't fly for his rush move... but then they can just make him shoot a backward Kamehameha to push him forward, which he actually does in the manga.

Btw, since Tenshinhan is rumored, if they'll include him and Roshi, then we will have the whole Universal Survival U7 team in the game. :thumbup:

I would be very surprised if Muten Roshi is in the game. There's just so many characters that in theory are ahead of him in the pecking order.
What I'm sure is that everyone will be disappointed to some degree, because you can't have all characters in. How #17 was handled is proof of this.

I really want Nappa and a gag character. Not a gag character like SSJ3 Gotenks, someone like Mr.Satan or something crazy like that.

I'm quite opposite. I would be very surprised if Muten Roshi is not in the game. Because, he is one of few DB characters, that is not fighting on raw power, but on tricky moves, such as Bankoku Bikkuri Shou, Mafuba, Sleepy Boy Technique.

I'm pretty sure we gonna get some more obscure/weird characters too, like how ArcSys' Fist of the Northstar game had Mamiya and Heart. They weren't very strong or popular in the anime, but their playstyle gave something unique to the game. In that regard Magetta would make a lot of sense, he is like 5 times larger then anyone else in the game so far, and have some interesting techniques.

Question is will Arc System do it? They seem to have successfully embraced Dragon Ball's spirit and feeling, comedy is as important as fighting for the series.

I'm on the same boat. One of my main complaints with Xenoverse was how bulky everyone looked. Unfortunately the same applies for FighterZ. I just hope that if Hit and Black make it in they will be just as in the anime. I wouldn't want to see Black as jacked as Goku in the game.

This game seems mostly based on DBZ which would explain why 17 doesn't have his own roster and why Roshi might not be playable.

I'd fully expect Tenshinhan and Yamcha to be playable before them or anyone else from Super.

It also based on BoG and RoF. And SSJB Goku even has some moves from the first battle vs. Zamasu. Muten Roshi was fighting on RoF. Also, some of Krillin moves from orginal DB.

Wonder when the collectors edition went out of stock "I ordered one", usually never see them out of stock so was kinda surprised a bit :lolno:
I did order the X1 version so hopefully the HDR effect will be nice, I also ordered the PC version because well why not?

Hopefully there's 21:9 support on PC but not holding my breath.

#17 was also "confirmed" after one voice actor let it slide and we know how that turned out...

Better to say very likely instead of confirmed because it isn't confirmed, we don't want to mislead people.
If it turns out to be true, I'll be happy. Yamcha isn't exactly my favourite character, he still should be in the game. He's important for a decent portion of the manga and is unique enough to create a interesting fighting character.

If this is confirmed I dare to say Tenshinhan is also in, add to that at least one more Boo and Adult Gohan. That's 17 characters already.

Well if Yamcha was a support character, then I doubt Furuya-san would be exhausted after voicing a few lines. This pretty much confirms he's been doing a lot of lines for Yamcha, and only Playable characters can be suspected with that.

Yamcha has quite a unique moveset and fighting style, so I would be surprised if he wasn't included in the final roster. Shifting him to support character would be a waste.

Don't forget about story mode. It will be relatively huge. Just see to GGXrd story mode. It requires a lot of voice acting.
