Can Cell really just create Cell Jrs like it's nothing? I'd have thought that they at least take some of his power from him. Otherwise you'd think he would have just made like a hundred of them against Gohan, if nothing else simply to use as a distraction. Of course, there's also the possiblility of him repeatedly blowing him (and maybe some planets) up and getting the huge boost he got from that zenkai, over and over again. Who knows how many of those he could effectively gain. As you said, we don't know about this Cell, so it's been possible he's been using the Zenkai/Cell Jr technique for 27 years, or it's possible he maybe be somewhere between Super Saiyan 2 and 3 due to training and has just held back.
Not a problem.

Something that is probably true is this Cell is definitely stronger than the one in GT. :P

I think it would make sense that Cell expends energy to create Cell Jrs. Then again, his ki comes back after blowing himself up, so...

Personally, I think Zenkais have a limit. Maybe once the body is physically trained to it's limit they don't work any more. Apart from Cell (who's never trained a day in his life) we don't hear of them after Namek, and SSJ forms replace them really. So I think maybe Cell could power up by self destructing another few times, but then would reach a peak that could only be surpassed by further ki training.

To me, creating Cell Jrs is only as difficult as making a ki blast. If it were more significant than that, then Cell wouldn't have been a threat after creating them at the Cell Games. There was absolutely no mention of his power dropping when he made them in the manga.

As for zenkais, I think they don't run out, Ijust think nobody got beaten down low enough (without getting killed) to actually get them. Think about it; with the exception of Gohan vs Fat Boo, nobody suffered a near-death scenario. Unconscious and the occasional broken bone, yes, but not half-dead or worse.

Yeah but he was at his ultimate by then, meaning he already had all his zenkais activated.

Which implies that there is indeed a finite number of zenkais to gain. Point received. :P

I think you mean, "it's Broly, the most fucking overrated piece of shit character in all of Dragonball. The vampires in Twilight aren't as fawned over as he is."

I hate Broly more than I hate Gohan.
Please do not start the Broli hating, and no one is deserving of more hate than Son Gohan.
Dayspring wrote:It would be pretty easy for Cell to become insanely powerful if you think about: Cell creates ??? amount of Cell Jrs. Cell absorbs their vital energy. He's now increased his strength by an amount equal to Cell Games Vegeta x ???. Repeat for 27 years.

What I like about this version if Cell is the possibility. He could be anywhere between Cell Games strength and infinity.

Here's my pics for the final 8: Boo (who absorbed everybody), Namek, Broly, and Vegetto, this Cell (I have a feeling he'll absorb someone strong), our Goku (naturally), Super Saiyan universe Vegeta, our Vegeta.
I agree with all you have stated thus far, Cell would seem like the type to capitalize on his Saiyan genes and whatever else he could think of to become stronger in 27 years. I also see the final 8 fighters you mentioned making it to the end.

According to Herms the Daizenshuu stated that they did not disappear but instead they were rare because as Dayspring mentioned no one ever got beaten to the extent we saw in earlier sagas and plus whatever gains they received was insignificant in light of the multiplication of their base forms from the transformations and fusions.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Son Gohan is a nicer, more interesting, better developed, better utilized, and all around finer character than Broly could ever hope to be.

Ehhh... I think post-Cell Games Gohan proved that he became under developed in order to utilize him an inferior way. He was essentially a replacement Goku instead of Gohan.

Back on topic, Cell had a Cell Jr with him. Maybe his Saiyan need to fight strong opponents lead to him spitting out a single Cell Jr so that he'd have a sparring partner. This one's quite young, so it's also possible he makes one, fights it to the death and then regenerates, and once his energy returns, starts the process all over again. Repeat for 27 years.

True enough that he became under developed in the Buu saga, though his stint as the Saiyaman was fun and unique, he had an interesting relationship with Videl, and he was only put into the Goku Replacement Seat when he was taken up to beat Buu. Unfortunately, that's just not Gohan was made for, from the very beginning of the show.

I kind of like the idea that Cell Jrs keep him company when he gets lonely. xD

As for here...I don't think he has used his spit yet. I think they would have made a big deal about it if they had.
