Angels get deactivated when GoDs die.Namz wrote:Agreed. This was by far an excellent chapter. The gr wrote:This is the longest chapter in DBS and maybe in the DB manga history, with 45 pages, and this was chapter is amazing here what I like-goku apologizing for leaving trunks in the future was a nice touch
-i love the scene where gowasu is convincing Goku black to become a good guy ,I love the part where Goku black said is to late for that and he finally explain his motivation, which is a plus to me
-and they finally reveal what happened to future Whis
-and Goku black is a savage in this chapter, and I love the part where they eleminated the remaining earthling
and now the things that I didn't like in this chapter
- the Time travel is really confusing and is messy
-vegeta training in the hyperbolic time chamber
-and trunks did nothing special in this chapter, but I'm looking forward to see his battle with zamasu in chapter 22
overall this chapter is a 9/10
There's a crazy theory I have: the Zamasus are concerned (logically) about Zen-Oh. But the moment the gods started to die at least the angels should have noticed. I think this is part of a bigger plot. The high priest and his evil look in the last anime episode made me think about this.

I don't get why training with Blue Vegeta can't help Trunks get stronger, in order to be at least at a decent level against Black and especially the much weaker Zamasu. I mean, Vegeta gained a big power up just by going into the ROSAT, which by no means should have helped him after all this time, so Trunks actually training with a competent warrior shouldn't be that far fetched. The fact that Trunks is esentially just fodder in the manga is a serious minus in my book. He's pretty much just as useless as Mai.

Well, you do realize that Tagoma, a Zarbon tier soldier, climbed up to at least Boo tier levels of strength just be experiencing torturous beatings from Freeza for months and he wasn't even a Saiyan.TheUltimateNinja wrote:Barely. Trunsks did get stronger, I mean if he didnt train with Vegeta, he wouldve died already, if he didnt get stronger than this is big time PIS like the u see in the likes of Fairy Tail or Bleach.Draconic wrote:I don't get why training with Blue Vegeta can't help Trunks get stronger, in order to be at least at a decent level against Black and especially the much weaker Zamasu. In the anime we saw Trunks taking blows from SSJBlue Vegeta, maybe that explains why Trunks could survive punches from SSJR Black in the manga?

This is probably my major gripe so far. The anime may have had a nonsense transformation and an out of nowhere move, but at least he did something other than just get beat up. I'd much rather have a fun asspull then a boring punching bag.

So, again, why didn't Black and Zamasu follow Shin and Gowasu? Don't say it was too far away, Zamasu and Black should know exactly where the Kaioshin realm is.
Good chapter, though. Loved the explanation about the healing powers. I find it weird Earth is implied to be Black and Zamasu's first target. In the anime, it's implied to be their last.

The difference is Tagoma, much like Frieza, probably had a huge amount of untapped potential since neither of them did any intense training before that. Goku used to get massive power boosts in short periods of time as well before he mastered SSJ.Freeza9000 wrote:Well, you do realize that Tagoma, a Zarbon tier soldier, climbed up to at least Boo tier levels of strength just be experiencing torturous beatings from Freeza for months and he wasn't even a Saiyan.TheUltimateNinja wrote:Barely. They didn't announce where they were going, and went far enough that none of their ki could be felt. It's not that Zamasu doesn't know where the Kaioshin Realm is, they just didn't know that Trunks and co. went there.Doctor. wrote:So, again, why didn't Black and Zamasu follow Shin and Gowasu? Also, manga!Black continues to be a terribly bland villain.
They should still check. It takes no time at all, considering they can both teleport, and it would be the obvious place to go to. It's the same deal as the androids checking Chi-Chi's house and Kame house whilst searching for Goku.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:They didn't announce where they were going, and went far enough that none of their ki could be felt. I enjoyed the chapter quite a bit. Love Manga and Anime of Super's Goku. Goku apologizing and leaving some of the senzu beans in the past was great. Though, I'm not really a fan of Manga Black.

No, they'd all mostly tapped out in the Cell Arc. Trunks is probably equivalent to if not a bit below Vegeta sans Rageta rage boost and God ki.Freeza9000 wrote:Can't you say the same about Future Trunks about the potential?TheUltimateNinja wrote:The difference is Tagoma, much like Frieza, probably had a huge amount of untapped potential since neither of them did any intense training before that. That was a really good chapter. I fucking love how the manga actually explains shit. The time travel explanation, which was always my headcanon for why the Trunks at the start of the Android saga is the same Trunks that comes back after 19 and 20 die, was especially welcome.
In addition, the manga actually made use of Zamasu and Gowasu's relationship, which was basically just salad dressing in the anime. Good stuff all around.
Fans are a pretty stupid breed when it comes to the show they're fans of, and they're often times best ignored. That includes their appreciation of certain characters.

A character's popularity should never influence how they're treated in a work. That's how you end up with bad and shallow stories.perucho1990 wrote: But Champa isnt a fan favorite or someone who was at the level of popularity like Trunks had.(I like Champa though).

Yeah, my problem with the manga version of Goku Black and how he's characterized is his interactions, especially with Goku. We barely get to see that much dialogue between the two and that's disappointing considering how Goku was pretty much the one that put Zamasu over the edge and Zamasu's desire to steal Goku's body. What I also liked about Anime Goku Black is how disturbingly aroused he is by Goku's body as he is at times influence by his body's instincts such as when he admitted that his body wants to kill Goku in EP 57. Not to mention, how the anime shows Black's sense of admiration towards Goku when he first fought him in the present timeline.TheMathemagician wrote:I enjoyed the chapter quite a bit. Everyone parrots this idea, I still don't get it. He's not even that different. I guess if the only thing you care about was his smugness and Goku hate, it would be boring, but that's not even pertinent to his character. Quite the opposite, the flamboyant smugness from the anime wasn't introduced until the second trip to the future. Prior to that, there were only a few lines from Goku Black in Episode 56, and even that was just hamming up The SS Rose reveal.Doctor. wrote:Also, manga!Black continues to be a terribly bland villain.
I guess you could argue that they should have, but it's not a big deal. For all we know, they would have checked, but Trunks and co. were only gone for a little while.Doctor. wrote:They should still check. But doesn't this contradict Trunks only spending 8 months in the future rather than the full 3 years? The gap between timelines was originally 20 years, but was reduced to 17 years.TKA wrote:That was a really good chapter. I fucking love how the manga actually explains shit. One Piece is doing fine(Law was a main character in Punk Hazard and Dressrosa arc due to his popularity), then u have the likes of Star Wars with Han Solo being relevant to the main plot in TFA movie,TKA wrote:

It just doesnt make sense to have one of ur most popular characters being brought back and treat him like shit, even Toei saw this and tried to make Trunks relevant.

Where did the 8 months thing come from? We just know he went to the future then came back for the Androids.
