I'd bet Tagoma will get beaten then Ginyu will try switch out of his body into someone else's but someone will throw the frog in the way and he'll manage to escape and live on as a frog then Tagoma will die.

So why do people have a big issue of Freeza's soldiers getting stronger, but are okay with Aka putting up a fight against Gotenks in Son Goku and His Friends Returns?

The main issue is the time scale. Those guys went from around Ginyu level to Freeza level in the 13 years between the Namek Saga and Son Goku Returns. They also had that fusion technique. Meanwhile, Tagoma went from Zarbon level to at least SSJ2 level, possibly SSJ3 level or above depending on how the next episode goes, in 4 months, with no transformation at all.

I'm not complaining. I think the whole "brought to near death and regenerated every single day" training is cool enough for a power up, but I think the difference is pretty clear.

Aka is fused being. Aka got shit stomped by Gotenks anyways. They've had years to get stronger while Tagoma and Freeza did in 4 month's. The manga version throws away the BS of Abo and Cado being any trouble to the boys and fusing immediately. Aka is one shotted by Goku either way. Prodigy is the new nanomachines where if you say the p-word, everything is ok. Kinda like how you can say nanomachines and suddenly the MGS stuff is explained well enough.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I need this! But just thrashing him, no words (kind of like he killed Sorbet in RoF). We need more enraged Vegeta protecting his family 8)

Not going to happen that's way too "dark" for Super.

They already having Tagoma causally tearing off Piccolo's arm. What you're saying is "too dark" is basically a carbon copy and slightly more subdued version of Beerus hitting Bulma.

Trunks a child unconscious after a fight is totally different than a grown woman being slapped. Piccolo has known to re-generate and there is no blood in that scene, it's not like he's ripping Gohan's arm off, all the serious tension from Tagoma is going to stripped the moment the Ginyu switches body and when Gotenks arrives, the NEP practically confirms this. It's like they're too afraid to go with it.

Like that was something "new", Really, why not tear Gohan or Krillin arms off for a change? Why always Piccolo? And for god's sake that scene in NEP was awful! It was like Tagoma tearing off Piccolo arm was like someone pulling the branch of a tree! Real lame, it hadn't the feel of a body member being teared off.

You know the reason why: because it's a show for kids, standards/impressions have changed, they know they want to send it out internationally for increased revenue, it's known that Piccolo can regrow his arm, so it's a get-out-of-jail-free-card for them.

Dragon Ball is only going to get more and more like this as time goes on. The Brutality and Gore Train left the station two decades ago.

Remember this ?

If this arc was made during the 90's then chances are Freeza would do something worse to Trunks but unfortunately the only thing we'll be getting them calling each other names and even that's a stretch for this show.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

The brutality and gore in the first DB shows was not very violent to begin with. All of the violence in the series is tame and people that act like on how violent the series most likely haven't seen the show in a long time. Anime these days get way with more violence then they did back then thanks to late night anime. DBZ is PG-13 at best and not some NC-17 flick like some people here make out to be. Besides you can say that the series became more tamer when GT started. GT had one violent moment and that was when Super Yi Xing Long (Omega Shenron) stab Vegeta with his spike. Even the scene when Rildo blew up Dolltaki's head was so short that it was hardly shown.

In France it is slated to DBS, but only after one season in Japan. The planned issue is a breakthrough 2016/17. And here the question. Is it really Saga Champy end after 52 episodes? Then what? In the December Jumpie want to see the big message. Info extend the series?

Now that I see, this time Freeza didn't talk about plan B with Sorbet, in case he fails to win against Goku.
Curious to see if that scene makes the cut.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I didn't notice, they really did skip that.
Maybe that plan B won't happen at all?

I appreciate right now how different this version is (I say right now because I still want that hand holding teleport to happen as it was one of the few major things I liked in F, arguably my favorite scene in that movie).
On hiatus.

It seems like in Super Freeza has bigger plans. Sorbet said to freeza even if you succeed in having your revenge, goku will just be brought back again with the Dragon balls.
Then freeza laughs and says, "I have taken that into consideration".

I'm starting to wonder if Freeza won't actually die in Super, but that Champa/Vados will spare his life right before Goku tries to finish him off. I know the movie showed him in Hell again, but I suspect that's not it for the anime.

Granted we haven't seen Freeza in the manga but I'm awfully curious.

That's how Freeza did it to Nail's arm during their battle back on Namek. Even Tenshinhan's arm got ripped by Nappa.

Super also glossed over the whole different Universe thing too. I wouldn't read too much into Freeza not mentioning Plan B. We did get the Whis sucker punching Goku scene remember.
