That would absolutely fuck up story mode, there are four different stories and they feature all the characters from the game. They'd have to remove parts of story mode or remove the story mode altogether.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

If they removed it all together then I can see an outrage by fans
I'm disappointed there's no mention of Steam... Xenoverse, Storm 4, and Pirate Warriors 3 are all coming to Steam, it'd be really great if J-Stars did as well.

First Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle and Saint Seiya: Brave Soldier, now this...waiting on importing unlikely releases in the West has never paid off more than lately. Now, if only we could get some new Super Robot Wars games here...
Definitely have to get J-Stars. Wonder how the PS4 version will differ from the PS3 version.
I wonder if this is going to be a full priced game or a budget-y type ($40), either way if it isn't, I'll just wait for the price drop since I'm in no rush for this.

Saint Seiya has always kinda been in the west, at least for Europeans we had them but the popularity has dropped, I think. No one really cares about it except for the French and such.
Btw, Jojo's PS3 title tanked in Japan so that's really nothing to praise and don't give me that Famitsu gave it a great score as their score is as reliable as IGN's.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
WHOA. I...I...WHAT. This is not news I expected to wake up to. I don't know HOW this is gonna work, if it's gonna be dubbed, or what, but I WILL be buying this. I'd always intended to import once I got a PS3, but now I won't have to...and I can't believe that. AHHHHH.
Really hope it doesn't have to remove that story mode though or remove certain characters or anything though. :/

But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

IS THIS REAL!? I mean I already had to import this for my cousin months ago BUT i'll gladly buy it again! Will be a bit disappointed if we get less characters than the Japanese version (atleast give me some replacements, I'm looking at you, Yugi and Yoh) BUT MAN, NO ONE WAS EXPECTING THIS!

And yet a new JoJo game has been announced for PS3/4 with the gameplay in a similar vein to J-Stars Vs.

Can't really see this being dubbed. For such a "niche" title, I can't see them going through the trouble and expense of getting all those different VAs from different studios and areas of North America. If they can't be bothered to do it for a One Piece or Saint Seiya game, it won't happen here.
I'm just glad we're getting a subtitle translation, and I'll be able to understand the character interactions/dialogue now.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.
Do we have a source or confirmation for the "not all characters from the Japanese version will be kept" thing? I'd just like to know for sure before I start laying voodoo curses on anyone.

Yep. One Piece: Unlimited World Red was never dubbed in any language and kept in its original Japanese with English subs (and other European idioms).
Why would it matter if the characters are dubbed or not? In a fight the one thing you don't want them to do is talk and that's one of Saint Seiya's Sanctuary Battle's flaw (besides being another Dynasty Warriors' clone).

This is a very important question. This throws the story mode into question as well.

Namco Bandai also releasing the Godzilla game on the PS3 and PS4 here in the US. Namco Bandai must be listing to their fans better now on what we want. It would be cool if Namco Bandai released any of the Kamen Rider games here in the US but that's unlikely.

Brazilian journalist received confirmation from Bandai Namco that the roster in the west won't include every character seen in Japan.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
