I'm curious, in the scene where Goku was "training" by trying to tank his own Kamehameha, is like that a callback to the Namek saga when he was beating himself up in the gravity room to induce zenkais, and is that what he was doing here?

Thanks for posting the synopsis. This looks set to be one of the better movies for sure. I wouldnt mind seeing Goku fight all the other Gods of Destruction in more movies! Can't wait to see it in motion!
:D
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Best movie ever! Big thanks to kei17 & the Kanzenshuu stuff.
Now, I can't wait to watch it myself. :D

Now I have 2 questions:

1) During the SSG ritual, does Goku stay in the middle & on the ground, while the other 5 make a circle in the air? How exactly does it happen?
2) Does SSG Goku repel Bills' final ki blast, or he absorbs it? Because kei (I think) said that Goku absorbed it, while the synopsis state that he repelled it.

Raykugen wrote:In DBO Ten creates his own martial arts. If in the perspective of Toriyama could that happen, he would have said such important thing instead of say he trains and works in a farm.
Kuririn & Tenshinhan create their martial arts schools years after the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai, while he was talking about how their lives were during the time BoG takes place.

Humans are inherently good until they are corrupted?
When someone goes to Hell, they get their souls purified & then get reincarnated. So, everyone should be pure when born, until they get corrupted (if they ever do).
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

You can watch the full video if you want, as it shows Super Saiyan God Goku versus his regular self and the muscle difference between them. I just wanted to show off that the previously mentioned Kamehameha (whether it is in the film or not, no idea) has a name. Though I don't know what it specifically is, it's something about a reborn Kamehameha that surpasses limits or boundaries or something. Herms, anyone? xD

It's still illegal and might hurt revenue.

It was recorded on a cell phone, and you can only see half of the screen. I don't think it will be destroying any revenue, only making people want to see the actual movie in good quality.

It's recorded from the very back corner of the theater, in the isle. It would be like watching the movie through a tiny holy outside the theater, only being able to see half of the screen...if people are satisfied with that, it might destroy revenue, but I doubt it.

Even if it doesn't hurt revenue, it is illegal and shouldn't be endorsed. Especially not here. That's not to say I can't understand people who would want to see anything they could of the movie.

Anything illegal, like recordings and stuff like that can be found, if it exists, by simply using the Internet.
But let's try not to bring that kind of stuff here, so that Toei doesn't notice us in a bad way, and brings problems to VegettoEX and the rest.
Trailers, and similar stuff like that, which are meant to promote the movie I'd say are OK, but the movie? or a scene not officially released by Toei? Yeah, let's keep it outside the forums, guys ;)

I couldn't access the site for at least an hour. :( It was killing me, knowing the summary was already online and I couldn't read it!

The movie sounds AMAZING. Birusu breakdancing?! The discussion about who's pure/impure, Vegeta *blushing*, him telling Bulma to hit Goku....Just amazing.
Did Vegeta have a smirk on his face when he told Bulma to hit Goku again? Because that would complete the image.

I'm also glad they mentioned Tarble in the movie, I have no problem with him existing in the DB universe.

So, I was wondering, is there any chance for a live recording of the podcast today?

Probably not. I don't plan on showering beforehand. Because I'm lazy. And need more coffee.

I do plan on posting it later today, though, and if we have any free time, I might do some random live-streaming just talking about the film and answering questions much much much later on.

This is all hypothetical. I'm not promising anything. It would be the middle of the night for Julian, anyway, so if you get anyone, it would just be me. And maybe Heath. Who didn't even see the movie. :P

Well since Julian and I are only an hour apart I guess it would be too late/early for me anyway.

I really want to hear Julian's opinion on the movie. Kei17 said it was the best Dragon Ball movie to date, so it'll be interesting to see if he agrees or not...

Well you guys must be quite tired after the day you had yesterday. And Battle of Gods stuff is far from being finished, so I totally understand ;)
Besides, I'll be happy just listening to the podcast today, and if the livestream happens, and it's not too late over here, then I'll be there to hear you guys talk in detail about the movie you've yet to watch

I think Birus is my new favorite "bad" guy, if not maybe my new favorite character, next to Goku. I love how at the end of the movie, he still destroys "earth", just not the whole thing. He still kept to what he said he was going to do, just in a humorous way.
