What? Is he going to train 4 months in ROSAT? That would be 120 days that would be like 120 years?

Hmmm

It seems plausible

I will never understand why a villain being able to return and get insanely strong is so hard to imagine when our heroes do it all the time, sometimes multiple times in one story arc.

Because the Saiyans are Saiyans and Freeza is Freeza, and specially for Freeza who was ridiculed many times in the anime becoming stronger from nowhere

And? Honestly that's always been one of the series' faults really, is when it started to go into this route of 'only Saiyans matter' anyway. Anything that can shake that scenario up can not be 100% a bad thing.

If you're talking about the filler scenes, then those most likely don't really count in regards to this movie. And even beyond that, it's not 'from nowhere'. It's from training, and (most likely) from something else entirely. I still very much doubt we know all of the details yet.

They just can't grasp the non-saiyan being able to do it in 4 months, but truth is there are probably other places like the RoSaT, maybe 1000x more effective then that place too, but some of these people will never be pleased Gyt Kaliba.

Anyone else gonna try to stay up for that panel about Heroes and F tomorrow?
What kind of F info do you think we'll get?

Even if I didn't have to get up super early for work tomorrow, I don't know a bit of Japanese, so...I'll just wait till stuff is translated onto the site.

Not really sure what to expect since we already know Freeza's 'transformation' is gonna be revealed in a little less than two weeks now, so...maybe finally something on Goten and Trunks?

I wouldn't be so excited. It will probably be just for Heroes.

Vegeta's new outfit card will be better view, Kakarot's card will be revealed, a/some new Freeza's card(s), Sorbet's and Tagoma's card(s), more of Bills and Wiss, and a little focus on Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta and Patrol Trunks. I just hope that Evil Bardock also gets his deserved attention as well.

Actually thats not true, training didnt really increase z fighters power that much. and we know that none of the characters were ever holding back during android, cell saga thats why you constantly see a huge struggle for characters like Goku and Vegeta to train and surpass androids even know in terms of powers there wasent that big of a difference because if there was, they could have been easily killed just like Vegeta was able to kill Nappa even though the power difference between them was about 4-5 times stronger. And in the android saga the power between android and Goku and Vegeta was around 1.5-2 times max because if androids were anymore stronger than them, their single punch would have been lethal enough to kill them.
My point is that training isnt really the fastest way to power up, because it takes a lot of time to change that little result you want when you come close to reaching your limits. Gohan was able to easily surpass ssj3 Goku jut by becoming mystic with Old Kai help, thats more power than Goku achieved by training for 7 years in the after life.

I don't know why they're making all that mystery about Goten and Trunks, I mean... This movie will be set 2 year after BoG, right? Marron didn't age, Pan still a baby, so... Goten and Trunks will be the same as before.

Nope, he is going to train for 4 normal months.
Kakarot9001 wrote:Because the Saiyans are Saiyans and Freeza is Freeza
Freeza is far more special than the Saiyans. He had never trained in his entire life, meaning that he was born with the battle power he had on Namek in his final form.

To be fair, no one ever got the insanely huge power-up that Freeza is gonna get in such a short time. But then again, Freeza is a mutant that is so insanely strong since birth & has never trained in his entire life, so his very nature if "fuck logic".

The fact that pan was born, tells them there's a possability, and Marron grew... just not taller (I think she takes after her dad early in her life) .

Well, it should be pretty clear. He's claiming that minimal training will be enough to outstrip all of the training and power ups that the heroes did over the course of two major story arcs.

The heroes had a long established history of doing that kind of thing. Freeza doesn't, any explanations given are provided entirely by the new material, and he'd be outdoing the ones known for their incredible increases.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Trunks was a 12 years old kid in BoG, and now he will be around 13-15 (depending on how much time has passed since BoG), meaning he's gonna be a teenager in FnF. And we know that Trunks' growth isn't like that of the full-blooded Saiyans, since we've seen 14 year old Trunks in the future. So, Goten & Trunks should change in this movie, if it's more than a year after BoG.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a little concerned if normal training is all there is to it too, especially if it's just for four months. Heck, I was among those with an eyebrow raised going '...Huh.' when it was first announced that Freeza was coming back. The difference is though that I choose to look on the positive side of things, and there's plenty to be looking forward to here. To me an interesting story is far more important than strength-related matters anyway. If someone crafted an interesting idea that involved Chaozu of all people suddenly turning out to have a buttload of hidden power, I'd be far more interested in that than anything less-well written that involves a new, never-before-seen foe that shakes the dimensions with his very roar, raaaaarrrrrhhhh! And since we're not going to know exactly how well the writing of this movie pulls it's premise off until we see it...I see no reason to get all bent out of shape over it.

That's just it though - he's claiming. There's no proof as of yet that his claims are actually true. Maybe he trains for four months and realizes it's not enough, and something else happens. We don't know yet.

The more I think about it, the more true I find an earlier statement someone made about the real problem a lot of people have is their head-canon is being threatened after all of these years of no new material.

It's not about "power levels", it's about having a logical story. When there is zero logic in a story, the interest is lost. That's why many people are displeased with that.

Same thing with BoG, while I really liked the movie, it did have inconsistencies. Luckily, all of them can be explained in my head, so I'm totally fine with them, but even if I couldn't explain them, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't like the movie at all, but it would affect my opinion for sure.

Personally? I'm fine with Freeza getting an unnatural power-up, because he is an unnatural being in the first place. So, I look forward for the movie.

Gyt Kaliba, I remember you said you wanted the image of Kuririn in higher resolution, I hope this can be useful to you. But I had to cut it because others can put images of the manga, but I can't...

Copy and paste it...

On the other hand, I did totally forget that Sorbet is described as leading Freeza's forces following Freeza's death. But while I'm sure he has excellent administrative skills, his leadership probably doesn't rally the troops quite as much as having the most powerful being in the universe calling the shots.
They didn't describe them as the leaders, but I imagined they took over once news of Freeza demise became known. I mean why not? They are the only people strong enough to take the position and at Freeza level no one could challenge them so i just assume they ran things until the ran into Tarble and the rest is history. That's why I'm curious Sorbet and Tagoma didn't seek those two out since the biggest problem was they didn't have the man power to attack planets that were too strong forcing them to retreat. That's were Abo and Cado come in, they got the power level to lead the organization to victory. Tagoma was hesitant about reviving Freeza while Abo and Cado seemed like some pretty cool guys compared to Freeza's tyrant ways so it wasn't like Freeza was well liked by everyone.

Villains usually don't do that, nor do the have the tools and benefits that our heroes do.

That's because only Saiyajins did matter, even Vegeta said this during the Cell arc. Toiryama was the one that wrote them being this invincible race, too late to backtrack now.

A pamphlet for RoF said it takes place two years after BoGs, so Trunks should be 14 and look like he did during History of Trunks special meaning Goten should equally look like that so the dynamic between them doesn't change.
