Not really. Chris Ayres is bad at doing Freeza's voice... He sounds like a british polite with white dress and ice tea, FUNImation will do a better choice picking up Linda Young again, she is the perfect Freeza, her voice and everything, you can tell that she makes a even better Freeza than Nakao for sureDragonBalllKaiHD wrote:Chris Ayres has stepped up even further as Freeza in Xenoverse, and I'm really excited at what he will bring on the table for Freeza in the upcoming movie. Seriously, his Freeza is way off the chart. I seriously have no doubt that when FUNimation officially announces the movie, they are going to heavily advertise Ayres to show off his Freeza voice. Both Nakao and Ayres are going to be very pleasant.
I could see the fans of Japanese version actually having no problem switching to the English dub for the movie, because they are this good. They are nearly on the same level as the Japanese cast. Chris Ayres as Freeza is going to be in the spotlight as are Schemmel's Gokû and Sabat's Vegeta. The scripting is going to be amazing for both versions. I'm really looking forward to hearing their performances.
Measure your words, dudebleed0range wrote:So why is everyone giving ROF such a hard time? If you can somehow watch Movie 13's ending and live with the enormous plot hole of young Trunks receiving Future Trunks' (of another completely different timeline) sword then you should be able to enjoy ROF. I have heard the excuses people have made for that too, but the movie HEAVILY implies it's the same sword in that montage at the end. And if the movie doesn't explain it, then it's still a huge contradiction (using the logic a lot of people have used here for ROF).
I really do think it's because it's a new thing that so many people are being so negative. They're letting their own fantasies of what "new dbz" should be get them down. Their expectations of what the next film would be were completely different. But I say, give it a chance. Because the original 13 movies can still be enjoyed even though they make no sense in their timeline placement.
How can you compare TOEI Movies with BoG and RoF? They're all DBZ movies? Yes! But with the difference that the first 13 were made only for purpose of entertainment.
These two movies (BoG and RoF) are a special case because they have full involvement of Akira Toriyama who said that he would like these stories to take a part in the original manga, and that's why.
Not at all... Movies 9 and 13 are canonFutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:Because none of those movied are canon. Dragon Ball Z movies 1-13 are non-canon. Battle Of Gods, however, is canon. And so is the upcoming Fukkatsu No F.
