I can't believe Piccolo's eyes still looked fucked up in his first appearence. Wouldn't all they have to do is erase one black dot and then redraw a black dot in a spot of his eye that looks normal? 10 bucks says Vegeta will still have brown hair and a green colored uniform in the next episode

But I'm just being nit-picky.

Vegeta and Nappa will probably have the right color schemes. That scene on Arlia was filler, and the only other times we saw them were occasionally in their pods, which they could easily redraw.

Well, I decided to do a review on Dragon Ball Kai Episode 1. It came out pretty crappy, but oh well. The reason I make so many mistakes is because I didn't script it at all so I could get the episode on YouTube fast.

We stream it. There's a guide over at Kanzentai if you're interested, but since the first episode is already over, you won't be able to watch that.

Are you sure? I don't think their first appearence was on Arlia. Not the Arlia episode atleast. It was a quick 30 second scene of them on another planet. I'm pretty sure it was in the manga too.

I find myself curious as to if Funimation knows of Kai yet. And if so, if they're plans of dubbing. *laughs* Of course, I'm sure they're thanking every deity known and flying out to Toei Studios as we speak.

But, the question still stands. And, I had to miss the live airing, so I must wait...

Yeah, there's some scenes pretty early on with them. Hopefully they will be re-colored.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but after seeing the editing job on the first episode, I think I might be in the camp of people who would prefer the series re-animated. I know it's very early to make this call, but so far the editing isn't as tight as I had hoped. You can tell that some things are messed up, not to mention the inconsistent animation quality. And damn is that opening sequence ever beautiful in HD...
