Well there is no "does'; only "did" (if there was such a re-dub that is). Since the DVD's already been reviewed, there either is or there isn't a new dub.

Or the article is complete fake, how can someone review it if it's not released? I highly doubt funimation released it this early for anyone to review. It's fake in my eyes.
And we don't need "OMFG! FUNi is releasing the Ocean dub on DVD, we want moar!"
I wouldn't count on a GT DBOx but I can defiantly see a DB one, and you can get GT for like $200 on Yahoo Japan.

Reviewers get early copies of things to review all the time.Daimo-Rukiri wrote:Or the article is complete fake, how can someone review it if it's not released?
But in this case, it's almost four months early, which is a little weird. And this is just when the issue is first being released. Who knows how long ago that was written before the article finally went to print, because that doesn't happen overnight in physical media. I wonder if FUNimation underestimated how soon the article would be released, or if they specifically wanted the early hype?

Okay, so I looked at ANN's page for Curse Of The Blood Rubees, and...
Brad Jackson as Oolong (Uncut)
Brice Armstrong as Narrator (Uncut)
Christopher R. Sabat as Yamcha; Umigame; Shenron (Uncut)
Meredith McCoy as Raven (Uncut)
Mike McFarland as Master Roshi (Uncut)
Monika Antonelli as Puar (Uncut)
Stephanie Nadolny as Goku (Uncut)
Tiffany Vollmer as Bulma (Uncut)
So I'm assuming that Funi will be using the in-house cast for this release.

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Thats good to hear so hopefully we get the funimation cast consistently throughout all the dragon ball movies.

I hope so! It would make no sense to have uncut video with a censored dub that had pieces missing...

If that list is true, then it was probably dubbed well before Kai considering that it uses Vollmer and Nadolny.

For all we know, it may have been dubbed in 2001 with the first 13 episodes.

I sure hope this is true, I'd rather watch FUNi Dub over the old Ocean Dub any day.jjgp1112 wrote:Okay, so I looked at ANN's page for Curse Of The Blood Rubees, and...

Or, you know, you could just watch it in Japanese...
Actually this goes good both ways, we get a legit english subbed version and an uncut dub...
It makes sense for them to release it after the seasons, but they could have saved it up for a spectacular Dragon Box the Movies release.

Actually, it might be for the best this way to let it have a single release first. That way, those who already own the singles of every other movie won't feel shortchanged when the only way to get DB Movie 1 is in a box with all the other movies that have been out for years.

Nah, I grew up watching the funimation digitally remastered and uncut english dub of DB/DBZ/DBGT on DVD, and I tried the Japanese versions before many times, disliked them. The Time Traveller wrote:Or, you know, you could just watch it in Japanese...

Naldony and Vollmer are returning? Urgh.

Well I wouldn't call it returning. If that info is accurate I think it's more along the lines of they had this sitting around from a long time ago and just got the okay to release it.penguintruth wrote:Naldony and Vollmer are returning? Urgh.

Haven't those credits on ANN been there for years, though? I seem to remember seeing them before and thinking "What the fuck?".
