It was a fan-fiction which I illustrated.
I see, so the manga is based on a Fan Fic written by someone else.

I guess it's good, I wouldn't've done that because I don't even read Fan Fics, but it's actually a good idea, doing a manga from a Fan Fic, the storyline is already done.

Doing you own story is a pain in the ass, especially if you're drawing the comic yourself.

Bottom line here is, I haven't updated much because I've been stumped for a story line (one that will work), however, I have now thought of the perfect story line(I actually find it good myself, so really I just hope other fans like what my story is based on) which hopefully will work, I don't go deep into it much, so plot holes will probably be there, even though I haven't fell into any...yet.

Good job. Are you going to translate a couple more soon?

Perhaps the the words on the pages should be translated like this and this. Then they could literaly be read in english and understood. :P

Cool, so what's the story your planning going to be about? I always find it hard to imagine what more original ideas for things like villains, attacks, and power ups there could be after everything there was in the series.

Do you mean for my question directed at Holken or Bejita? If it's Holken then I know, but I want to get past page 37 :P If it's Bejita I meant a whole site on its on like Holken and not just on this board.

I bet they ain't working for loads of other people too. Crap.

They are on Dragonball Arena's Fan Manga section, so for any pages that do not load up, go on the link I give and scroll down to the second to last manga, which reads Dragonball Z: Continued.

http://dragonballarena.gamesurf.it/english/fanmanga.php

But there's one page that is not on the site, it's here on this forum, it should work.

Try refreshing the page or just going on the not working picture and right clicking it and go to show picture.

If that still doesn't work then I'll just send you the page.

Goku: 'Who are those guys?'

Alien: 'Let's see...'

Krillin: 'Bastard!'

Goku: 'Oh...They want to fight?'

Goku: 'No problem!'"
Page 4:
"Goku: 'Ouch! Those things sure have thick skin!'

Goku: 'But that won't stop me!'

Alien: 'Go help him!'

Gohan: 'Hey!'

Goku: 'Alright Gohan!'"
Page 5:
"Krillin: 'Hey you!'

Krillin: 'Eat this!'

Alien: 'Calm down earthling! We don't care about you. Be patient...'

Goku: 'Enough is enough!'

Vegeta: 'What's going on here?'"
Page 6:

Alien: '...We created the Saiyans!'

Alien: 'A long time ago we put on the same planet two races we had created: the Saiyans and the Tsufuls...'

Alien: '... The Tsufuls got our intelligence and the Saiyans got incredible power! In the end, you were the better of the two!'

Vegeta: 'Nonsense! It's impossible!'

Alien: 'Impossible? Well, you didn't think that the gods would have created a species so powerful with unlimited potential, did you?'

Alien: 'You are our creatures, and in that name you owe us obedience!'

Alien: 'Right now we're at war with a very powerful race, and we're about to lose... At first, we were supposed to use Planet Plant as a soldier tank but it was destroyed by a mutant named Frieza. That's why we need you so follow us!'"

Oh you're right! Here it is:
Alien: 'Let's start at the top... We're the oldest and the most evolved race in the galaxy...'

Alien: '...We created the Saiyans!'
EDIT: I also added those two quotes in my previous post.

Those are decent translations, LaResistance.

- Holken:
Even though I haven't gone and looked at the continuing pages of your comic, I have just now read the translation that LaResistance so generously provided for us; and I have to say, I am liking the story. One thing pokes me in the back of my mind though... I think I've heard the name "Protoss" before, somewhere in the Scifi universe, but I can't remember where.
Edit 2: Ah, so it seems the story he translated is this pages link... well that means that I now have seen the continuing pages of the story. So the stuff above is pretty null and void. Of course I am going to leave it there all the same.

Edit 3: Oh, and by the way, I think the Kuririn panel, on page 5, where he's saying "Eat this", with that happy look on his face, is just excellent.

Edit:

I just looked at the page you linked in your previous post, and I must say that it's quite good. One thing is a bit goofy, though, you've colored some characters, and others not. Heh. Thats a bit odd. Otherwise I find it quite interesting.

Ah, well the comic is still really good.

Also as I was reading, I noticed that the font you used is probably 'Comic Sans,' or some variation of the type. And to me, it doesn't do justice to your comic. So I figured I would suggest a place to get a better font for your comic-pages. If you would like to improve the look of the font used in your comics, you should head over to "http://www.dafont.com", as they have thousands of font-types to choose from, some of which aren't half bad. But thats entirely your call. (Also, I am pretty sure the site is in French, but I could be wrong.)

Your welcome. But just so you know 'software' is a relative term, when dealing with fonts. If you're using any Windows based Operating System, and you have a program called "Paint" or "MS Paint", that allows you to edit your pictures in one way or another, you should have no problem using more than the pre-installed font packages on your computer.
To install their fonts, you just need to go to your PCs Control Panel (assuming you're running a windows OS pc,) and click on the folder called "Fonts" and just drag the freshly downloaded font files into the folder there. They install. You load up Paint. And now you have a new font listed among those available to you.

I'm liking the manga Holken. It's difficult to come up with a decent storyline on a DBZ fan manga in a way, that's why most are just joke things or a story about Vegeta's life, but your story is decent and at least makes sense.

I am looking forward to seeing more tranlsated pages.

As for my manga, I still need to work on backgrounds! Yours are good Holken, I just need to pay more attention to the background detail and stuff. My storyline is the main thing that has delayed me from continuing so far, but now that I have put together an idea for a plot, more pages will be done soon.

What I do isn't just a translation, it's an "adaptation". Some sentence in French wouldn't make sense once translated in English. I can't imagine what the dialogue would look like if I had translated word by word... It sure wouldn't be pretty.

Say Holken could you still leave the link to the French manga in your signature please? Then I can read ahead of the others :D

Plus I'd do some translations too if you wanted, but I don't have the link :P

Thanks ;) As a token of my gratitude:

page 7
Vegeta: That's out of the question, I'm not your creation!!
Goku: Vegeta is right, we'll never go with you!

Alien: No, no...it won't be necessary to attack us... Demonstration.

Trunks: What the...

Krillin: Oh my god! The mountains!!
(not really sure about what the alien says, I'm not sure what "il ne serait pas prudent de" means :?)

page 8
Alien: Actually there are about 15 ships ready to fire. We will reduce this insignificant planet in a pile of rubble if you refuse to come with us.
Alien: We only want those two! The others aren't of pure blood.
Goku: I'm afraid we don't have a choice Vegeta.
Vegeta: You're joking, right?! Do what you want, but I'm staying!
Goku: Listen! We have to cooperate otherwise Earth will be destroyed. But, actually, it's a pretty good plan.
Vegeta: What?
Goku: They want to take us with them in their spaceships. Then, when Earth is safe, we can pass on to the action and attack them from the inside!
Vegeta: Not bad, you're right...they have no doubts about our powers! I will show them you can't subject the prince of all Saiyans!
Goku: We accept!
Gohan: Dad...I want to go with you!
Goku: I'm sorry Gohan, not this time...don't worry, I'll be fine!
Goku: Wooh! See you later!
Krillin: There they go!
Krillin: We need to find the Dragon Balls to repair the damage they have caused!
Trunk: I'll help you!
(not sure what "enfait" means with the second Goku)

Phew, lots of text on that last page ;)

PS: Maybe it would be a good idea to check it for yourself, since my French is far from perfect :P
