Yeah, it could be the movies as well.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

The teaser looks okay. The graphics are not very great looking, but I guess the game could be fun.

If it was the movies or specials why would they keep it a secret? We already know about it. Why would they make a whole timeline of events and keep the last part a secret if it was going to be the movies? It doesn't even make any sense timeline wise. It most probably is something new.

Which events should count as Babidi arc? Until Boo's revival, or until Babidi's death?

The events prior to Majin Boo being released and after the highschool stuff. I'd say earliest would be Goten vs. Trunks and latest could be Majin Vegeta vs. Gokuu.

I think the next one is going to be the Super 17 saga. It makes sense since it's the next saga after Bebi.

Or it could be the events of A Hero's Legacy, 100 years after DBGT.

A Hero's Legacy takes place after The Shadow Dragons arc though. I doubt it will be next.

TheHut has a Dragon Ball 3DS game scheduled for the 11th January 2013 which doesn't seem to be this game.. Erm, what could it be then?

It's a mystery nonetheless.

Probably nothing, seeing as it supposedly comes out in January we would've heard about it by now.
I'd say ignore it.

Game stores will have place holders for random games before they get a official title. I doubt anyone remember when Gamestop had a Dragon Ball GT game listed down for the PS2 back in early 2004? That game end up being Budokai 3.

Agreed. They usually announce DBZ games a few months in advance. So for a not yet announced game to come in January doesn't make sense.

Wow, with a game cover like that, with such a random ensemble of characters, I wonder what the guidebook cover will look like (as I'm a bigger fan of those than the actual games, strangely).

Yet another reason why region coding sucks.

Well, if the PSP is region locked then I will tear my hair off.........
This sucks, I was so enviously watching all these Heroes updates and thinking how at least I'd like to play it once!
And now it comes out as home version without the need of physical cards and it's on region locked console......
Hmmmm.... This sucks, I don't believe this will be released outside of Japan like Ultimate Butouden too wasn't :(

PSP isn't region locked for video games. :?

Yeah I know, and most of my games on it are imported. That¨s why I said that I'll tear my hair off if it was region locked, becuase I wouldn't be able to play a lot of awesome games.

There's new scans. I'd find non-watermarked ones but no one seems to care about this game for it to be worth the effort, lol.
