You only got Rock for the Dragon for that long?
Well..I'm outta ideas

The UK/Blue Water dub had rock the Dragon for some episodes if I remember. I always would try to sing Rock the Dragon but the other intro, the "DRAGON BALL ZEEEEEE" one would always pop in my head. I was young, so I don't remember if I was confused of the use of intros from the Namek-Saiyan arc and later and thought they blended in or something. Most people here in Canada, remember both, but Rock the Dragon more so than the other one.
I quite vividly remember hearing the other theme from pretty every episode aired on YTV except for the one where Goku shows up at the Saiyan fight which used Rock The Dragon for some random reason, but yeah, I remember as a kid liking Rock the Dragon more (it was on the VHS tapes too so that was more exposure) and wondering why they never used it for any other episodes, it's so much better for pumping you up than that Casio-keyboard crap.
Well, when it aired I remember being excited hearing Rock the Dragon on TV as I remember it was rare.
Funny, the thing I remember most about Canadian DB is
this horrible intro. I still remembered all the lyrics long after it aired. But I was older too.
When DBZ first aired here I was under ten. So my memory is foggy here and there.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Wow! I'm glad I grew up with Rock the Dragon

but that was awesomely bad

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Most people probably heard Rock The Dragon off the VHS tapes/DVDS/Original Syndication. I know toonami rarely played it and mostly played their own intro.

Yea, the only time I remember seeing Rock the Dragon on Cartoon Network was when they had a DragonBall Z Super Chunk.

I think I remember it being played during one of the three different versions of Tree of Might (w/JPN music, w/Shuki Levi music, & three-episode version) on Toonami, but that's about it. Heck, I may just be confusing that with the fact that they used footage from Tree of Might during the beginning of Rock the Dragon.

In the game ''Legacy of Goku'' for gameboy advance, they have the video that plays in Rock the Dragon but the music isn't rock the dragon.

So Canada got that "Dragon Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Zeeeeee!" intro for the Saban dubbed episodes? Well I certainly never knew that. On Cartoon Network UK we got Rock the Dragon for those episodes as well as the Funi Ginyu and Frieza sagas. I think during re-runs they sometimes gave us the 2nd Ocean intro for the Saban episodes. I really wasn't a fan of the 2nd Ocean intro and it didn't help that it was waaaay overused. Rock the Dragon was great though.

It wasn't Toonami's own, Rock the Dragon was the theme for episodes recorded by Ocean under Funi, when they split, newer episodes had the international theme, all the older episodes still played with the Rock The Dragon Theme, I'll whip out my old DVD recordings to find the exact episode listings that Had Rock The Dragon and the Ones with the International theme if you like?
Sad thing is I like them both equally even though everyone tells me the International theme is rubbish.
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force
If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure
If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me

Hold on what's this international theme? Do you mean Faulconer's DBZ theme or the 2nd Ocean theme?

So, they used the French opening with English lyrics! Never thought I'd see an English version of one of the French openings someday!

You've got to give FUNimation props. They can spin things in twenty different ways if it suits them better than a politician.
-First, after the Orange Brick debacle, they release the Dragon Boxes, advertising that this is for "hardcore" fans and the way the series was meant to truly be seen. They put extreme emphasis on the Japanese version, even going as far as not putting in the Dub Score, while simultaneously making a trailer for it that makes an "Over 9000!" joke.
-Then we have Kai. FUNimation and their actors actually take some shots at the old Dub while producing a new, faithfully scripted (For the most part) Dub and even take backlash from their Dub faithful to present an accurate Freeza.
-Then they venture into the DBZ TV series Blu-Rays and take a step down from the Dragon Boxes in not having the Japanese title cards or NEP's. Not to mention the focus now shifted back to the Dub, with Dub-centric extras and the Dub score back in place.
-Now they're going to go back to an Edited, replaced musical track Dub with voices (Voices, not acting) just as terrible as the 1999 Dub?
All I can say if that I'm looking forward to the year 2021 when they release the "Original Broadcast" of One Piece complete with David Moo redubbing some lines and the Box Art having the slogan "Don't give it up Luffy! Don't give it up Zolo! on't give it up Nami!"
But seriously, in the big picture, this is a really good release for the fans who only grew up with this cast. It's a very nice gesture despite the fact that it's really all about milking the DragonBall cow. But in the small picture, i.e. Internet Fandom, it's an utter disaster. Just another thing that will split the fan base and cause arguments.
As for the "Redubbed" thing. My theory is that they are going to release these sets Uncut with the Kikuchi score and are having Ocean come in and Dub any lines that they didn't originally because they were edited out.

It's the latter Ocean theme, where they just repeat Dragon Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z over and over.
Unless Amazon end up listing this within a week them I doubt it will get a release.
I should really watch the entire Ocean dub DB/Z/GT through in one side by side with Funis and decide which I prefer as I really think after all this time I'm now a Funi guy.

I wonder if "The Original Broadcast" will continue through into the original FUNimation dub, blaring changeover and all?
I think this is literally just the thing as it aired on TV, by the way, that seems to be the point. The box-art is probably temporary.

If it is the original DBZ as it aired, it's a must buy for everyone who saw it and is still a fan. relive the childhood

I just hope they split it up enough to keep the price under the import tax allowance for the UK

Considering this is really aimed at a specific market, I wonder if it'll be a limited release?

2013 is shaping to be a good year for DB but in MO this would be the let down
