Welp, looks like we're getting that double kamehameha. Somebody catch it plox.

Wow, even realizing Julian cut down the schedule down to just Dragon Ball stuff, this panel is convention is stuffed. Looking forward to hearing how it goes; ironic because I was in North Carolina last week.

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

Shameless plug: My newest Goku themed AMV will be showing at the AMV contest on Friday at 7PM. It doesn't interfere with any other Voice Actor panel, so if you have the time, come and check out my video on the big screen and support a fellow Kanzenshuuer. My video will be in the Drama Category and is called "Hall of Fame". Like I said, it's Goku themed, so I couldn't be happier that it's going to be shown at this convention!

This is absolutely killing me inside.

I tried, tried, TRIED to make this work out, but my current budget and schedule simply won't allow it. It's so surreal to watch a once-in-a-lifetime event like this just pass by before my eyes. I know I'm going to be looking back on this with regret for a long, long time.

To all of you who go, cherish it! It looks to be an unforgettable experience!

Not to get everyone's hopes up, but I'm going to try and record and upload as much footage from the Japanese VA panels as I can from my iPad. I don't know if Animazement allows video recording of voice actor panels or not, but I figure it's a worthwhile opportunity to capture these actors together for a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

As for the panels, I'd love to see some good recordings of them. Hopefully, all of them will be recorded. I'd hate to miss out on any (English or Japanese, plus some autograph stuff, and in-between panel bits) of this majestic stuff.

Too bad I don't live near by. Travel just costs too much for me.

No, I didn't mean that at all. I'm saying a sincere fan of the Japanese version of the show. I didn't mean a sincere fan in general.

Oh, then sorry for misunderstanding you. I've just be insulted for my taste of DBZ viewing before (even by a friend), so I guess I just took that the wrong direction. My apologies.

If only I had my family from South Carolina in town. Hitching a ride with them for con-going would save me a lot of cash for travel.

I wonder if Mike's going to get a "Kamehameha!" picture with Nozawa, that'd be cool. I'd love to be in the middle of Nozawa and Schemmel doing the pose for a shot. Life would be complete.

I know if I went, I'd have to get at least one soundbite from the actors to open a Podcast with (especially for interview openers, gets the fans pumped). I don't even care that I'm not on a Dragon Ball Podcast, I'd find any excuse to record a podcast interview with those guys. "Yeah, this isn't Power Rangers/Super Sentai related...but they're voice actors, and voice actors are used for suited villains, so close enough! *records*"

No worries, man. It's not like I hate the dub either. I love it for what it is. If I didn't, I would have sold off my old 3-episodes-a-disc DBZ singles a long time ago. But if I had to choose whether to go to a Schemmel panel or a Nozawa panel, I would, without question, go to the Nozawa panel. It'll be a different experience being in a room with people of the same mindset.

Not to mention, this is the first time Nozawa's ever been at an American panel, right? Schemmel has been and likely will be at plenty more, so I can easily see how anyone (unless they just have no interest in the Japanese version at all) would pick the Nozawa panel. Hell, I would.

Course if I was going to this, I'd find some way to get everyone's autograph if I could. Every. One.

Well, this con's not going to have too much of an issue there, since Nozawa and Schemmel are sharing a panel for their "We are Goku!" Panel...which I bet will just be pure magic. Well, for me. Wonder how Mike will take it. I like to picture him as Two-Face, tossing a quarter into the air and periodically checking what it landed on, expression neutral until he looks (I'm just teasing of course, Mike's awesome; I wouldn't have listened to every single episode of the podcast if I didn't enjoy his passionate style of hosting).

Anyone else want Kyle Hebert and Kara Edwards to raid the "We are Goku!" Panel and turn it into the "We are the Son Family!" Panel?

Blank-faced, secretly-plotting-your-death Mike is accurate.

Goofy host extraordinaire Mike is also accurate.

BUT WHICH ONE WILL YOU GET?!

(So excited for this weekend holy crap.)

Man, I can't wait to see what you do for the show. You inspired me to get into Podcasting over 4 years ago, so I appreciate all you give (so many podcast episodes I've done @_@).

Think you might get any vocal interviews? One of my favorite parts of Podcasting is the vocal interview (both doing and listening to). An interview with the Gokus, Gohans, Gotens/Videls, Japanese Piccolo/Freeza...would be amazing.

Are you going to all the DB panels that aren't conflicting (including the actors panels and the One Piece panel)? I know I would (and hopefully, friends would go to the conflicting panels).

Man, I feel like I'm missing the US DB Fanbase's Nerd Mecca here.

Got to leave early tomorrow so I should be in Raleigh by late afternoon. By the looks of all the awesome programming, I'll be there all the way through Sunday. If any Kanzenshuu folks want to meet up before, during, or after the con, feel free to PM me.

I would love to meet up too! (I know it's redundant to say that because of my sig.)

Anyone who posts video from Friday's 12:30 Nozawa panel and/or Opening Ceremonies will be a hero to me (and others who can't go)! At least I'll be there for the rest of the con starting Friday evening.

And I realized just now that I've never seen anything Dragon Ball in a theater, so seeing DBZ Movie 5 on Friday (subbed, even!) is gonna be awesome.

Has anyone filmed anything yet (apart from Mike doing a short movie of Japanese Freeza)?

I don't know about filmed, but THIS PIC RIGHT HERE really has me regretting that I didn't travel to this con. So much epicness, and all in one place.....!
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Plenty of folks were doing video. I just did audio for my own reference, while Meri took the occasional video clip. Report of Day 1 is up. Big afternoon coming up later. Furukawa was fantastic this morning. :)
