Are those songs completely in english? I couldn't make out the lyrics at all, it doesn't sound like japanese.

I prefer both KuuZenZetsuGo and Haikei Zarathustra, but maybe a higher quality recording of these is what I need to get more into them

I prefer Fight it out as the opening per se, but I like Kuu Zen Zetsu Go (as a song) better. I don't really mind the endings.

Pretty sure the opening is Japanese, while the ending is a Japanese man singing in english.

Opening appears to be completely in English, so you would be wrong on that front. I really do want a cleaner rip, honestly, as there is a couple lines I just can't make out...

I think we'll just have to be patient before cleaner versions show up. It's pretty clear it's going to be a while before Funimation does this.

I like the beginning of this opening most, even though it's the main bit I can't understand.
I can only make out some of these lyrics, but here's what I've got:
__________
______
I'm so excited ___
_______ Sen shawa?
_______________
I'm the Strongest! of the Universe!
All I do is show them how ___ power!
Go! KAMEHAMEHA!
Get ready!
Fight it out! (x2)
To the end ___
(The end is ___)
_________ Fighting by yourself!
Get ready!
Fight it out! (x2)
For the dream, the world!
(For you and you and me?)
Discover the power of a friend!
Never gonna give up!
Fight it out to our best!
To save our planet earth!
And I say!
Go! KAMEHAMEHA!
Fight it out! Ho-oh!
Fight it out! Yea-ah!
Fight it, Fight it out!

As expected, it seem Toei Animation is the only member of the production committee for The Final Chapters. This makes me wonder if the Opening and Ending animation's credits were only mastered in English, though. At first I thought the Korean broadcast was using masters sub-licensed from FUNimation, but now I am not so sure...

The more I listen to "Fight It Out," the more I'm liking it, even loving it! Both as a Dragon Ball song and as a song in general. While I believe Hironobu Kageyama may have been a better choice, the singer for FIO has an enthusiasm that reminds me of Kageyama, and I really like the lyrics. "Kuu-Zen-Zetsu-Go"'s pace is a little better, but other than that, I think FIO has it beat on every front. It gets me pumped more than KZZG, and find myself humming it far more than I've ever hummed KZZG...and I only heard FIO a day ago.

I can't wait for a clean version, and to see if it will get dubbed!

Here is the song Ono Masatoshi is most known for these days. It's certainly the level and aura of energy one might expect from Dragon Ball so I can understand why he was contacted for Fight it out.

I wonder if Toei had the songs sung in "English" to save FUNimation money so they won't have to dub the songs?

Actually, I wondered the same thing. I mean, if it wasn't going to air in Japan, then perhaps it made more sense to do the song in English since English is apparently considered "the international language," and this is the international version of Kai.

Yeah, English is a language damned near every nation on Earth recognizes (even if they don't converse with it) so I'm not surprised that Toei Animation brought on these sort of songs or even produced the limited credits only in English.

I'm liking "Fight it Out!" over "Zetsu Go"(I was never fond of that in the first place), but "Dear Zarathustra" is still my favorite ED.

As for Ono, he's awesome in the HxH opening. I would love for FUNi to pick that show up and produce an English version.

Hmm, based on that HxH opening, I might definitely like 'Fight It Out!' more when I get to hear a better quality version of it. As things stand now though, I still like the other songs from the Japanese version a lot better.

Oh man, I can barely even imagine...it's mind-boggling just trying to follow this stuff as an interested fan, but to actually be someone who's trying to accurately document this stuff? I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love being a t - er, I mean, I do not envy you, at all. Godspeed Hujio (and the rest of the staff)...godspeed.
MagicBox wrote:I agree with ChibiGoku. I may not like the international theme songs very much, but I want them if we get the international version on home video. Those are apparently the original songs, after all. If FUNi could get the Japanese TV openings/endings and include them as extras, that would be awesome, but I don't want them trying to edit the TV themes into the international version. No more changes; we've had enough confusion. It's "be consistent" time now.
Yeah, so long as we get the other songs in some format, I'm fine, but if they shoehorn them in and make it even MORE confusing...AGAIN...

...Aw hell, we're already past the breaking point anyway. They should just announce that they'll be releasing the Boo arc of Kai in super-deluxe collector's edition VHS tape and LaserDisc formats, just for the insanity of it all.

I gotta say, Ono Masatoshi does a good job at channeling the same energy that Hironobu Kageyama does.

I actually quite like the opening and ending of "The Final Chapters". I would like to think that perhaps they may change the final scene of the ending to the Super Saiyan 3 picture they currently have in Japan (though I'm more than likely pushing my luck there).

"Fight it Out" is quite enjoyable in its own way, and "Never give up" is a grower. I wonder if we'll be seeing the same eyecatcher Japan has been for weeks...

Judging from next week's Korean title:

Episode 5: 오반의 천하제일 무도회 출전! 오천의 폭발하는 파워!

From the sounds of it, it'll start from Dragon Ball Chapter 426, right through until the end of 427 (When Goten first goes Super Saiyan). So covering "Z" Episodes 205 & 206.

Then I assume Episode 6 will be Gohan teaching Videl how to fly.

I just listened to the songs a minute ago and I don't remember what they sound like. I haven't watched these new Kai episodes at all, and I haven't listened to the Japanese OP/ED in maybe a month...? Three weeks...? I'm able to remember the tune of those pretty clearly. What the heck.

It's nice to see a few new cuts of animation, especially for the ending.

No, I just used google translate lol. It was enough to give me the following words: Gohan & explosion of the power, which roughly is the same as "Z" episode 206: "Even Gohan is Surprised!
Goten’s Explosion of Power".
