Kill La Kill was poorly market in the US compare to newer anime like Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online. Not to mention I don't think people are into a show with fighting clothes.
Well, Kill La Kill gained a lot of interest within several anime communities and I honestly thought that it would reach somewhere near AOT level of popularity. But it looks like it's just gonna be a one hit wonder, which is such a damn shame because the show is so awesome. But I can see why wouldn't appeal to the mas audience because its premise is incredibly outlandish and absurd. But ironically, that is what makes the show so crazy awesome and unique. Oh well. :|
Sadly what we want to catch on usually never does

Miscellaneous news: One Piece is no longer doing encores at 8PM. Most likely due to the fact the encore rating were quite lackluster. Last weeks rating was probably the straw that broke the camels back, and Adult Swim decided to pull the plug on the experiment. Kai is still doing encores at 8PM.

Meanwhile, the numbers for the Age 18-49 demographic:

12:00a Dragon Ball Z Kai 0.8 1026
12:30a Kill La Kill 0.67 847
1:00a Sword Art Online 0.65 831
1:30a Inuyasha: The Final Act 0.56 708

2:00a Naruto: Shippuden 0.6 733
2:30a One Piece 0.5 645
3:00a Attack On Titan (r) 0.4 470

It's a shame that these numbers aren't available until a few hours after the initial posting, since they're more important for determining how well a show is actually doing for the network.

DBZ Kai and a majority of the block still did quite well.

I'm surprised they haven't announced what is replacing Inuyasha yet.

I think the announcement of Dragon Ball getting new anime this July must have had an effect on what shows may be on Toonami for the next few months. Especially if Funimation do end up simulcasting it. That would be an almighty spanner in the works for what Toonami may have planned, given how successful Dragon Ball has been on Toonami over the years, Dragon Ball Super would almost certainly end up on Toonami sooner rather than later. Unless Cartoon Network themselves want to get their hands on it.

I hope so! I'd like to see DBZ Kai get even better ratings! Also, it'd be nice to see it climb up the charts on Amazon, too.

I hope Tiger and Bunny since it's still fairly new since it came out in the last seven years and it's popular too. I would love the 2005 Guyver series to air but there's no demand for it sadly :(.

Man, I've just realized the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is going to fucking slaughter the ratings for Toonami this Saturday. If any show on that block gets more than one million viewers that night, I will be bloody flabbergasted.

Attack on titan was an awesome show as well, but has a late morning time slot?
