YES. Blatantly. And I'm nowhere NEAR being anything resembling a yaoi fan-girl. It's movies/scenes like these that there is even a semblance of a DBZ yaoi fan community. I found the scenes riotous, and god help me, even MORE gay in the English dub.

I was THIS close to making a Brokeback Mountain/Goku and Vegeta AMV trailer, but.... the scenes in DBZ don't match the trailer tone/dialogue. :)

Oh, yeah, I caught that vibe in a big way...I mean were they just asking for it? I am very seriously opposed to this coupling (no offense to fans out there) and I found it incredibly bothersome. Geez it's just like...could we possibly pick like...two guys that don't actually have wives and children and like...not have one of them be this incredibly short crumudgeon with a receding hairline? Anybody else, really now. Yeesh.....personally it just grosses me out everytime it comes to mind. Gah!

Baaah there was a DBZ yaoi community the moment that Saiyan Prince stepped out of that space-pod with his itty-bitty height and obsessive characteristics... XD

*gives thumbs up to AnnouncerGuy* That's RIGHT! You diss his hair! Man, I haven't heard someone diss Veggie's hairline in so many years... mmm nostalgia! The days when he was the big joke and you could get away with troll-head, weddgie-butt... *nod* However be warned, now I know that yaoi grosses you out, do understand, my Taresu instincts are flaring to life with evilness.

*grins at MAN* Hey handsome, if you insist--- I have links to the 'yaoi' stuff. (what I based my movie 12 pic off?)

Now now, let's leave the innocent out of this.

And it's not yaoi that grosses me out, it's Vegeta with like....anyone! Especially Gokuh who most fans treat like some clueless teenage girl. I like to think even cartoon characters deserve their dignity. But whatever, you guys can do what you want as long as I don't have to see it.

Did anyone else find the dub of this movie incredibly homo-erotic?
Not as erotic as the Sparking intro.

So I finally got my copy from Best Buy today. While the dub music's not bad..it's just not good. I'm seriously disagreeing with the "logic" that because it's DBZ, it must have some kind of rock soundtrack. :\ It seriously sounded like the dub voice track was completely drowned out by the music.

I also don't agree with FUNi's "logic" of giving a name for ever damned transformation someone goes through. First Syn Shenron to Omega Shenron, and now Janemba to Janempa. Way to confuse the hell out of dub viewers once again with made up crap. :(

Worst of all was how sloppily done the dialogue was, particularly during Gogeta's scene.

JP Gogeta: Paikuhan! I'll get him back for you!
US Gogeta: I am not Goku or Vegeta! I am Gogeta! It's over Janempa! I've come for you!

What's the point in pushing up a later piece of dialogue into this and adding more? It only makes Gogeta more chatty.

JP Gogeta: I am neither Goku nor Vegeta! I am he who will defeat you!
US Gogeta: Every force you create has an echo. Your own bad energy will be your own undoing!

That dub line somehow reminds me of that bit Goku gave to Freeza about being the light to a darkness or something to that effect during Season 3. >_>; That was completely out there.

Though kudos to Chris Sabat for the Dictator's voice. I actually could NOT tell it was him until looking at the credits. About damn time he used a non-recognizable voice.

Yeah..that was one of my biggest pet peeves, how many lines they changed to a bunch of bull. Like how Goku teaches Vegeta the fusion pose.

JP Goku: I'm going to do the pose right now, so be sure you memorize it.
US Goku: It's not that complicated. It's kinda like a cross between traditional fighting stance and water ballet, except without the water.

JP Goku:
"Fu-" As we switch our arms, we move towards each other. At this time, we move our feet three paces.
US Goku: "Fu-" Now, think of two rivers flowing towards one another that become narrower and narrower the closer they get to each other.

JP Goku:
"-sion!" Carefully watch the angle of your legs!
US Goku: "-sion!" Note the opposing position of knee and arms!

JP Goku:
"Ha!" Then we put our fingers together like this! Again, carefully watch the angle of you legs!
US Goku: "Ha!" The two rivers converge at two single points. The points give way under the pressure, and the rivers flood into each other and become one.

I think it would have been better if they kept it the original way, sorta like how they dubbed the Buu saga.

I was disappointed with this dub of the movie. The music was way way too serious for the mood trying to be set, such as the Veku scene. Although, I did like Gogeta's US theme. It was pretty cool.

FUNi totally ruined the "Juliano and Romeo" scene by renaming Romeo "Michael"... wtf?
Well, I think Toei kinda screwed up on that. because...

1. Romeo and Juliet died together so they would both be dead, not just juliet.

2. Its the Dragon World, there isn't a Romeo or Juliet.

So, it dosen't really matter what there names were. :?

The scene was supposed to imply it was Romeo and Juliet. If I remember right Romeo also mentions Juliet not aging because she was in heaven an he was in hell. Nothing that only Romeo had died.

I still miss Dracula's "Will somebody pull this damned stake out of my heart?" :p

They don't say anything about Romeo being in Hell in the Japanese version. He is alive. He says...(In the Japanese version)

"Juliano, it's been 60 years since you passed away. It's no suprise, is it?"

She is a ghost and he is in the flesh. You must have had a really effed up fan-sub if you thought Romeo was in Hell.

 Yes...

"It's been so long since I saw you. Let's not argue the whole time."

That's almost as bad as Freeza thinking of caressing his dragonballs.

Hitler was great and his whole fight scene was LMAO. I still wonder why West City was all storyboard-like during this though... :?

Anyway...I'll go watch the JP Version now...

I LOVE YOU! AnnouncerGuy, marry me!

We should get together sometime! I could TOTALY cheer you up... I have psychoanylised many a person and my scientificaly based results put a smile on any 'Goku is not a teenage girl's face! (Believe you me, I, a Goku-fan, do not read that stuff)

You know, I learnt my fusion dance from that bit. The dub- if I'd seen that instead, I'd NEVER have perfected it! *faints* that sucks! Water, water, water! Gosh Goku must be thirsty or something...

Anyone else notice that FUNi said that Shenlong granted three wishes instead of two like he's supposed to?

But Shen Long does say he's going to grant them 3 wishes. I just watched it in japanese a few hours ago.

Not necessarily. Shen Long was going to grant them 3 wishes during the Boo saga as well, I don't think they messed up twice. Shen Long's powers were probably increased at some time after the Cell saga.

Hm, you're right. Either the Dragon Balls gained an additional powerup, or Toriyama simply forgot it was two wishes and not three since it's in the manga. XD

:? Really? I thought it was always two... Forgive me, for I've only seen the Buu Saga's dub.
