I found the ratings of the first and second days for Saint Seiya and since they air in the same block, probably its almost the same, and they were kinda bad, on day 1 the best was a 0,9 and on day 2, a 0,4.Cure Dragon 255 wrote:I really hope one day we'll be able to see the ratings...

I was randomly changing channels here and i found out that Kai is STILL airing on Bandeirantes, so it's kinda funny to see that both Z and Kai are airing on TV now.
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
So are anyone recording these for the sake of getting better audio?

Hey, some great news! I was without internet for a whole week, so I couldn't tell it earlier. I'm sorry!
But check it out: remember that russian roulette scene from episode 14? THAT WAS INTACT! Dubbed and everything. We only got censored scenes in PlayArte's DVDs, and if I'm right, Band aired this specific scene in they first broadcast

Rede Brasil is surely giving the best treatment to DBZ since its debut in Brazil

Yeah, Rede Brasil's airing is fantastic, the best we ever got. First was Kai with the Yamamoto score on Band (despite being aired at 4:30 AM and only going until the Freeza arc), then the original Dragon Ball starting to air on Tooncast in 2013 (which is still in the air) then GT on Band (even if it wasn't for the entire country) on the same year and now this, things are getting better for us.Ikazvyr wrote:Hey, some great news! I just hope someone is recording all of this. If it's really synced to the Season Bluray footage, all that would be needed is the audio.

I'm planning to buy all PlayArte DBZ releases and capture the episodes they did not release due to cancellation via Rede Brasil's broadcast, then sync to Dragon Boxes (I don't like the blu-ray footage and the only problems I see in Dragon Boxes are colors and crap japanese audio) and make it dual audio for personal collection/storage. Maybe I'll do a color correction, buy will take time (1 episode per day and only 60 episodes confirmed by Rede Brasil if I'm not wrong)
There's an Facebook fanpage ripping and uploading the episodes, but I don't like the audio quality

They confirmed to have bought 107 episodes, not only 60.Ikazvyr wrote:I'm planning to buy all PlayArte DBZ releases and capture the episodes they did not release due to cancellation via Rede Brasil's broadcast, then sync to Dragon Boxes (I don't like the blu-ray footage and the only problems I see in Dragon Boxes are colors and crap japanese audio) and make it dual audio for personal collection/storage. Sorry! 60 was the number of episodes they had downloaded a week before the debut. My head shuffled those numbersgregoryluis09 wrote:They confirmed to have bought 107 episodes, not only 60.
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
Episode 22 today. Opening 1 v2 aired for the first time in Brazil!
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
Wow, I haven't kept up with this in a while. What are we on guys? 31? That means the Goku vs Vegeta fight is today?
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
It's amazing that a show this old is still being aired everywhere.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
30, Nappa was killed yesterday. 5 episodes per week, so 31 will be mondayBansho64 wrote:Wow, I haven't kept up with this in a while. What are we on guys? 31? That means the Goku vs Vegeta fight is today?
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
Episode 31 was the first to be officially called Dragon Ball Z in eyecatches. Had to confirm today because 29 and 30 were without audio on stream, but yesterday I noticed Dragão Z stopped to be a thing
Here's the full first DBZ opening in Brazil calling it DRAGÃO Z: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWEt0c0aY9A

Instrumental Cha La Head Cha La with creditless OP3... AHH It'S BIG GREEN!
Joking aside, I find it odd that they use the instrumental Cha La Head Cha La when a Brazilian Portuguese version is supposed to exist.

I'm currently watching and the stream's working pretty good!
Also, I've been noticing that Goku's screams are pretty weak.

Haha, that's the first thing I thought when I found it. I knew the existence of this version, but only saw a small clipDanfun64 wrote:Instrumental Cha La Head Cha La with creditless OP3... AHH It'S BIG GREEN!

I like this instrumental and never found it anywhere with good quality. Every instrumental I know is different (remastered and stereo) and I like the bass EQ in this particular version, the same as the opening
Unlike the original japanese, brazilian dub also used this instrumental in NEPs
Yeah. Sadly, Wendel Bezerra's Goku is weak at the beginning, but he gets betterBansho64 wrote:I'm currently watching and the stream's working pretty good!

The best voices in brazilian Saiyajin Arc imo are Wellington Lima (Raditz), Guilherme Lopes (Nappa) and Alfredo Rollo (Vegeta). Wellington Lima also voices Bardock, Tao Paipai and Majin Boo, and Guilherme Lopes voices Recoome and Mr. Satan
Re: Dragon Ball Z to air on Rede Brasil in October
I'll give him a chance and wait and see. I mean, I checked some stuff from later arcs and while it is a bit better, they still seem kinda low and breathless.Ikazvyr wrote: Yeah. Sadly, Wendel Bezerra's Goku is weak at the beginning, but he gets better

But, yeah, I really do like a bunch of the other ones. And, like you listed, that Vegeta is pretty smooth. He's probably my favorite out of the bunch of voices.

Battle screams are not everything on a dub, actually they are just a little part, even in DBZ. Also, Wendel'screams were not the best in the first episodes, but they were much better than other Goku around the world, speccialy the european ones. And besides that, he always did an excellent job with Goku's childish and innocent personality.Bansho64 wrote:I'm currently watching and the stream's working pretty good!

In the scene you uploaded that doesn't sound bad. It was a bit breathless, but not low, it was well dubbed.Bansho64 wrote:I'll give him a chance and wait and see.
