Thanks. I still didn't make it but at least you give me the right executions. Man, the move is really hard to do. Even Geese Howards Raising Storm is no problem for me.

Next problem:
I learned Yamchas "Wolf Fang Fist" with Vegeta and altough I did the right execution, he only did one part of the move (it's qcf+LA then LA LA LA SA). It doesn't matter in which time I press the buttons, he only does the beginning of the move. >_>

It's one of those retarded moves with exceedlingly tight button input timings, the idea is to press the next button in the sequence right when or slightly before the previous hit connects. Which sucks for the last L input since it's 2 hits and you need to switch the button.

Speaking of which, some chains have altered effects if you time the last input at the exact right point, such as Gohan's LLH, Goku's LHH and Trunks' LLHH. Latter 2 create an explosion when they connect in that way, and all of them allow you to follow up with a combo when you normally couldn't.

Anyone else think Vegetas English voice was a little odd?

Well now that they're done doing the voices for everything except these games that come out, he probably hasn't practiced as much lately.

You can see Chiaotsu in the cloud stage.
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

You can see Suppa Man in the city level as well as the AF garbage can. I think thats how they spell his name (Suppa Man) in the Dr.Slump manga, I could be wrong. :?

WOW!! :D I'm so happy with the game! Funimation's dubbing is pretty good, although it through me for a loop when I heard both Christopher Sabat and Sean Schemmel as narrators. I thought they were in bad-character, but it turns out they were just using their regular voices. It took me until I found out you can wish for certain characters as narrator to find that out.

Animation wise, it's fantastic. Everything just looks awesome. I love how vibrant all the colors are, and how you can change the colors of characters' outfits (although I don't think Vegeta doesn't look good in orange, nor Chichi in the red all that much.) I like the reinterpritations of the characters' moves, such as Vegeta's Big Bang Attack, Chichi's Power Slugger and Super Power Slugger, and Super Saiyajin.

Oh, and Chichi as a playable character? She's awesome! I think it's the coolest thing that she can use Nyoibou, Kintoun, and the Banshou Fan (which oddly enough they call the "Banana Fan" in this game. I don't think they even did that in the dub. o_O; )

There are pleanty farmiliar parts to the styles and moves of the characters. For example, Chichi's fighting stance looks similar to Chun-Li's, while one of Goku's punching attacks looks very similar to Ryu, Ken and Sakura's shared signature attack (which I cannot remember the name to. (>__<); ) Also, Cell's stance looks oddly similar to King's, which amuses me to no end. (Isn't King an SNK character though? :? *has no idea*)

The stances and speeches the characters have before their fights, are so in character, and completely awesome! Not to mention, all characters genuinly has their own sets of movements and styles, and when they're similar to other characters, there's actually a reason for it! Like 17 and 18 share a similar maneuver, and naturally Vegeta and Frieza share maneuvers and attacks with their unlockable counterparts.

And sure, I've had a little trouble with the button combination system at first, but that was just because I wasn't farmilar with how the combination directions corelated to the PS2 controller. (Wow, I'm stupid. ) Oh, and I occasionally have trouble with certain button combos, though so far I've figured out two of my three button combo problems.

But this game is just so good! Piccolo especially looks so frickin' badass during his before battle pose, and it's funny as hell to hear Krillin say, "I just keep dying!" Majin Vegeta's screaming, "I'LL DESTROY YOU!!" when he uses Galick Gun is so cool it's scary, while just how Buu walks just fills me with a wicked glee.

My favorite DBZ game to date, other than Super Sonic 2, but that's for a handheld and therefore doesn't count. X3

YES!! Woohoo! I'm not the only one who noticed it! X3 Piccolo Daimaou's voice sounds more like Vegeta as the playable character. Vegeta as the narrator sounds just like Vegeta, though, as does Majin Vegeta. Weird. :?

But holy crap, Christopher Sabat did a great job of inpersonating Dameon Clarke's Cell voice. I didn't realize he did his voice until my brother read it from the credits, and I still can't tell the difference. :D This is much better than when he did Cell in Super Sonic 2, but then again, there wasn't much voice acting to do in such a game.
MisterFlashdude wrote:Can someone help explain exactly what the B.P. represents?
Your Battle Power is your ranking. If you go to the Options Menu, you can check how high you rank with all other "players." Goku is Rank 1st by default, then Cell, and then Freeza. There are others, but I don't remember.

What's scarier than a DBZ H-game?

Um, I'm pretty sure it was Dameon Clarke. No doubt about it. Except in the credits his VA name is now changed to "Damatarian Nickelback" or some thing like that from what I remember.

That's what I thought, but if you read the booklet, Cell is listed under Christopher Sabat's name with Piccolo and Vegeta. :?

Well the credits in the actual game don't list Christopher Sabat as Cell.

Just how many wishes does it take until you can wish for more narrator voices? And would it be under regular or "enhanced" wishes?

I saw this game in Blockbuster today, so i said 'what the hell' and rented it.

First Impression rating: WTF/10.

Kaioken burns out instantly? The legendary Super Saiyan transformation is a 10-second burst of power, after which Goku happily depowers to base to fight Final Form Freeza? A basic Ki blast isn't one of the basic attacks?

Maybe it's just me...

Kaioken is just a feature that takes some your health to fills up the Ultimate Gauge Meter so you can have more powerful attacks (such as The Super Kamehameha) at your disposal. Super Saiyan (& Super Saiyan 2 for Young Son Gohan) is a 10 second powerup to make your attacks & combos more powerful. All in All, it makes the gameplay more balanced. The control scheme takes some time to get use, but if you have big thumbs ( like me) I suggest you use the analog stick. It goes more fluidly once you get use to it. Game Guides or Walkthroughs are usually a big help if you have problems with the game. Ki Blast is one of the basic attacks. A basic Ki Blast is done by pushing forward + square or triangle. Triangle for more powerful (& faster) ki blast

There's not a Game Guide on Earth that will fix the problems I have with this game.

At least tell me there's a way to power up.

There's no "powering up" in the game like the Budokai series. The only power ups are usually the "special ablities" in which some of the characters have.

I have a few questions.

1) When it says I need to have made 5 wishes to unlock Videl, do all 5 have to have been made under the same character? I know I've made more than 5 wishes between my 3 character cards.

2) To wish for colors and outfit changes; how many wishes to do so and are they supposed to be under regular or enhanced wishes?

3) What are the other ???? under regular wishes?

2.) For each character you need to make one wish for one color change & keep doing so until you get all the colors. No the colors are under regular wishes. The enhanced wishes are for Unlocking characters, the special Kaio's world stage & narration voices.

3.) The other ?? on the regular wishes are " Learn my rival's super", "Learn Yamcha's move", "Learn Nappa's move", "I want a better outfit (alternate costume) & then there's "Learn the ultimate move".

As far as Videl goes I forgot how I unlocked her. I remember using an Ultimate Gohan character card & then using the Dragon Balls I collected with him & Videl was there to unlock as long as I had already unlocked Majin Vegeta & Piccolo Daimao, but then again, I'm not sure.

I love this game! It doesn't capture the feel of the show as well as the Budokai games, but its still fun. There is just so much replay value to be had. I hope this becomes a series of games like Budokai!

I unlocked Vegeta's Big Bang attack. Ehhm at least that's what it calls. It looks more like a baseball with 2 points sticking out of it which is thrown by Vegeta like he's a New York Yankee or something. WTF?
