A very important 10 year anniversary just passed (and your opinion on it)

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

MarcBigleague wrote:Okay so you essentially telling me you used an online encoder's release of orange bricks, more specifically their name is 4 letters and last 2 letters NL xD I knew you would do that and that is bad business. Their encodes were abysmal xD They were casual DBZ fans not Kanzenshuu fans like us and so they didn't know what they were doing and further modified the colours for the worse. I'll try to buy more Orange Bricks over the next 2-3 months and compare them properly :)

edit: Also why did you crop like weirdo the orange brick screenshots but not the bluray screenshots? That is shady behaviour...
Nope, these are unaltered from the original Orange Bricks (aside from additional, poor compression, but that's not too noticeable in the screenshots). I didn't intentionally crop any of them, I was just quickly grabbing them with Gyazo, I wasn't even paying attention when I dragged over the picture, not that the aspect ratio even matter for this.

Seriously though, fuck you for accusing me of approaching this in bad faith. Without any cause, no less. I don't do things that way. I may make mistakes, but I'm not dishonest, and it's pathetic of you to accuse me of it.

This is Kanzenshuu. You're supposed to take your time and actually make effort when presenting arguments. That includes taking the time to properly grab screenshots. You say the cause of weird cropping in your orange brick screenshots was because you were being quick and not paying attention. But I assume that means you were being slow and very concentrative when grabbing screenshots of the blurays and that's why they're perfect 16:9 unlike the orange brick ones xD

So don't tell me to fuck you because this is Kanzenshuu and no one ever is sloppy or discaring enough to mess up like you did :P I'm new and even I can take basic 16:9 screenshots xD

And you're wrong...again... **NL did alter the orange bricks wtf. Oh my god "unaltered only aside from poor compression". Is it a hobby of yours to say things confidently but be 105% wrong? haha xD Because 1. they did additional degraining when encoding. 2. They DID increase the contrast, ask any experts here like VegettoEX or Julian or Jeff or Derek Padula. 2. They also downscaled them. 3. The compression artifacts are very obvious to someone who knows their video knowledge XD

Please, Jinzoningen, I don't know why you turned this into a fight. I just asked "why is only the orange bricks cropped like weirdo, this is shady behaviour". Instead of getting triggered, if I was mistaken you could just say "Haha Marc, lol, no I was in a rush I will edit the post with properly cropped pictures later when I'm not in a rush xD". You didn't have to say "FUCK YOU". This is Kanzenshuu, you agreed to the rule of being polite to one another... We're all DBZ fans at the end of the day, why fight?

I don't know who this guy is you keep talking about, but stop associating me with him.

I wouldn't call it a fight, I just called you out for dishonestly attacking my character, making unfounded accusations, etc. I don't put up with that garbage.

What do you mean "dishonestly attacking your character"? Nani? Do you still like to be 106% wrong? I asked a question and then said this is shady....I didn't say "Jinzoningen you are a shady person for trying to create an illusion that the orange bricks are more worse than blurays than they are." I did not say something like that but you act like I did.

I would say "kiss and make up" but Pilaf-sama finds kissing to be dirty.

Yeah, I know that wasn't really fitting of the conversation, but I was away from home on my phone and it was the only thing I could find after a quick Google search. My point wasn't the comparison, I just wanted to show the OB frame itself.

What's worse about this release, is that it blantly lied:
- The way it ws meant to be seen (Despite 20% picture cut)
- HD Remastered (People were very hyped about HD in that time, but that was not HD, but SD)

Yet many people to this day believe it is true way Dragon Ball should be watched :( Why exactly they stopped releasing Ultimate Uncuts? Few years later same thing happened, they discarded great looking Level Sets for much cheaper 16:9 cropped set (Level Sets sold badly, well duh, there was already Orange Bricks, Dragon Boxes just finished, there was also Z Kai, shouldn't you wait a couple months before you put another DBZ product? You could release DB Dragon Box, or Movies Dragon Box...)

Why are we even comparing the OB and season BDs? They're both awful, let's just leave it at that.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.
