A neat episode, not great, not bad, but also not "just ok". Kinda disliked how the magical girls went out without doing anything noteworthy but honestly i like how in the end, it seems like Ribrianne actually learnt something from her defeat, so that's nice (as long as something is done with it).

Loved the androids duo and the fight with giant Ribrianne, that was simply great. And seriously i fucking love 17.

Looking forward to next week.
I really miss ma boy, Black :(

Sad to see Ribrianne was just another wasted character, so in a way, her going down was the best thing that could happen right now just so she doesn't hog anymore screentime. Still saddens me she didn't amount to much other than a couple of gag scenes, but I must say the match up with 18 proved very well done.

That scene at the end was much better than anything I expected out of this episode, especially when even the early portions of it were, as expected, not that great. It's cool to get surprises like that.

Some cool character moments between the Androids and between 18 and Krillin. Again, much more stuff worthwhile than when first finding out the premise of this episode.

All in all, not an amazing showing, but provides some glimmers of awesomeness. It was handled worse than a couple of the Saiyan girls episodes, but there was enough there to keep my attention much more than those.

Next episode looks Namekian centric, so it's good they get some focus, even though they probably won't count for much. The NEP does showcase some scenes were we might learn a bit more about them, so I am looking forward to that.

Okay...I understand you like her and I absolutely respect that, it's a fictional character after all.

However...there are quite a few reasons to not like Ribrianne or at least to not care for her. Maybe the hate is a bit overboard because as I said...fictional character.

After this episode I seriously don't understand why Ribrianne got so much promtion and screen time during this arc when she didn't do that much and was not exactly that big of a challenge.

Indeed, their is NO PROBLEM in others disliking her or any other character, that is perfectly fine and is part of the fandom community experience. So you can all shorts of reason to dislike her that is ok.

Where it got Wrong was that to Many to this Dislike, morphed it into a Hate-Crusade against Every Step she took and every word she said as thought they where fighting for the heart and soul to save Dragon Ball or Something?! It was a Unnecessary Crusade that was never needed and I never got why so many took it so Far to smear her character like she was some-kind of Sinful character of something?!

That is my main problem, dislike is ok, but smearing crusades is just not necessary.

She still worked out allot for many of us and we loved the journey she was on threw this. We also talked a few pages back on maybe why this ending was the way it was, similar to how and why Caulifla and Kale where cut so short too.

Brianne WAS NOT wasted at all, I wanted to her to go farther and expect more from Toei but what is is what is. But maybe she is just to new to hit the big-times yet, just her opening act and that was the point Toei is getting at maybe.

Read below to get what I mean.

I agree, I think the main issue for most is it threatens their "manhood" to watch a show talking about love over and over but like I've said before it's no worse than talking about fighting strong opponents non stop that sometimes happens...Just different content.

I actually like her regular design. I'm pretty sure the point of her transformation is that it's considered beautiful in U2 but I'd actually like if it's so "ugly" because she doesn't understand the love she is using to transform. That would have been creative for her final transformation instead of making her giant.

That was a good spotlight episode for the Androids.

It was nice to see 18 care for her husband even though she puts him down a lot. Of course that doesn't happen a lot, but its rarity makes it more precious and sweet to see.

Ribrianne is out, yay! And her defeat raises up an interesting point for her: she can't be an effective warrior of love, because she hasn't experienced love herself. There is some potential for her to join the Z-Fighters' list of allies.

I'm curious as to how U6's Nameks will be different from U7's Nameks.

I was going to say this. There are many reasons to dislike Rib since, let's face, she's kinda of annoying character who got more scene time than what was needed for her role. Like, she was only needed in 102-103, and then she could have disappeared until this episode. She had no real reason to fight Goku for three episodes or Vegeta for the second time. She was more or less a troll.

That said, the sheer hatedom she created reached cartoon villain levels with Rib being called a 'fat bitch' with people wishing she would die or Freeza to torture her to death. Yeah, she's annoying, but the reaction to her was way over the top to the point that I honestly can see a male version of her character being this over the top reaction. Not to say all criticism is sexism, but it would be naive to think that there is some sexist motivation with some of the hate and outraged with her.

And this isn't Rib, but all the main focused female characters like Cali and Kale. Yes, they have characteristic that fans would find annoying and there are real reasons to dislike or even hate them. However, it's weird that Cali is called an arrogance little bitch, when Vegeta acts like a cocky bastard throughout the TOP and people love him for it, even when we learned his 'I'm the strongest Saiyan' speech was utter BS and he wasn't hiding anything. Even in the Android/Cell Saga when Vegeta's arrogance was the absolute worse, fans still loved him with some calling that the best version of Vegeta. The same with Dypso who is very arrogance despite having little weight behind it, yet fans just treat him as a light joke. Kelfa was also called an arrogance bitch who needed to be humble, despite her basically being a female Vegito and this fanbase basically sucks Vegetto's cock and get insulted at the idea that anyone can or should challenged the great Vegetto. And 'underserve' power-up reads like a sad excuse when this fanbase wants Gohan to get a major power boost with some saying he should get UI, when Gohan already got a giant power-up in a single night to rival Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, when he got owned by Piccolo with Super Saiyan 2. But for some reason, power-ups aren't BS in this fanbase if it's from Gohan and is actively encouraged by some of his fans.

Again, this is not all fans, but a very vocal part of the fandom.

For some people I'm sure it's because she's female. For others I think it's because she hasn't earned that level of arrogance in the audience eyes.

I mean Vegeta was always cocky but he was older than Goku, a lifetime warrior, royalty, it seemed like earned arrogance.

Caulifla (who I actually like btw) feels a bit more empty because she leaves the audience asking why and how but not necessarily in a good way

Can't really agree since Vegeta earned his arrogance against fodder and then gets his ass kicked by the main players. Especially since he did so well on Namek based on getting his ass kicked, healing, and getting stronger. Basically, being rewarded for his ass whipping.

The show does explained, but it's more that fans don't like the explanation. That and they think Super Saiyan is 'earned' and this is mostly based on anime filler. I can't tell you have many fans are shocked when they learned that almost all their favorite Super Saiyan moments were filler like Vegeta going Super Saiyan or Future Trunks. It also showed how ignorance a lot of supposed 'hardcore' Dragon Ball fans are. It feels like 90% of this fandom only watched Z, clips of Z, and never even glanced at the original manga or the original series.

Yet she sees Krillin and dismisses him for being ugly, implying that love is all about superficial beauty. It doesn't make sense.

If they wanted to portray Ribrianne as a person who doesn't know what true love is (and learning what true love is via 18 and Krillin), they should've made her the most beautiful female character in Dragon Ball, and make her obsessed with superficial love. As it stands now, it doesn't make sense. If she doesn't care about superficial beauty (which is implied by her looks when she transforms), why did she condemn 18 and Krillin's love simply because Krillin is fugly? Is she a hypocrite? Is she an idiot? I just don't get it.

Other than that, amazing interaction with 18 and 17. Krillin giving 18 the moral boost she needed to keep going was also amazing. I like how my runt is still helping in winning fights even though he's out since ... time immemorial.

First time I saw Zeno talking and doing stuff (other than erasing universes) and didn't cringe.

Apparently I'm the only one that didn't joined the hate bandwagon when Vegeta got 'thrashed' because of trying to copy the UI mentality. I actually respect the man for trying to THINK and EARN the transformation instead of itt JUST BEING HANDED TO HIM like SOME people I know.
The point is in U2 her form is considered superficially beautiful.
So Helles considers herself hideously ugly?

Ribrianne's transformation is ugly as fuck. This could imply that Ribrianne looks deep inside the soul to see true love and isn't interested in superficial beauty.

To be honest...I don't know how deep the gag runs or how they view what we view as beauty...I just know Helles geeks out over her beauty and love when she transforms and everyone in U2 seems to think it's beautiful too.

Speaking of Helles, I loved how she told Rib she did a good job despite losing all her maidens.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I loved that moment too!

My Hope is that if sadly they do go Next Episode or later on that the Whole Universe is shown either hold hands or hugging or something to so how much they care for each other. That they did their best and did it for each other and did it for their Friends, Families, Loved Ones, all their Citizens and all life in their Universe!

Again of U2, THEY ARE NOT BAD GUYS!!!

They are Heroes and Regular People just Trying to Save her Homes and Families like U7 is, their Lives are just as honored and important as U7 or any other Universe is.

I like Toei to show this if they go and why they are who they are.

I a sure they will come back, no way Toei leaves Dragon Ball so Dark with so much Death, but an embrace of this by their team would be good to show who they are.

Well, we have the Future Trunks Saga's ending.

Okay...I understand you like her and I absolutely respect that, it's a fictional character after all.

However...there are quite a few reasons to not like Ribrianne or at least to not care for her. Maybe the hate is a bit overboard because as I said...fictional character.

Heck Goten is my #2 but I don't pretend to expect others to think he's done anything or deserve it.

Indeed I liked what you said here.

You know me I have a different View on Ribrianne's importance and level of power and showing in the ToP, but I rather stick to the topic.

Indeed like I said before you can dislike a character all you want, but when we got to the Hate Crusade some layed on her it was just utter nonsense and I like someone to explain why that was SO Important to do that to her, what of DB where they trying to defend or save from a single new character?!

I don't really get the motives and each has their own. But no motives give reasoning for that kind of reaction, it paints a bad blot on the Fandom and it makes those that want to be fans or become fans maybe now think twice or stay away all together since parts of the fandom seem intolerable to charterers, new ones many they might like and want to talk and celebrate about.

Out jobs should be expanding the fandom, not censoring it to selective viewpoints and characters.

Yea, that did not help much either, we need less of that, it be hard to watch DB anymore knowing so much was killed to keep so few, no matter the reasons. Just hard to see this sticking.
