I don't know about the manga but some people I know that read it say it's getting nowhere. Naruto will get a big reveal next issue, IF kishimoto doesn't trolls us all and changes focus to another character... I stopped watching the anime after Hinata's confession during the Pain Invasion Arc.

Other thing I want in the movie are full battle moves, like Goku vs Majin Vegeta:

I mean... just look at THAT.
In Bleach manga the 1000 year old war is in progress.

Captain commander second in command, Byukuya kuchiki, Shunsui, Kira and Kenpachi have been killed so far. The enemy invading soul society are the vandereich, which are quincy militia. The Vanderich leader fought Yamamoto 1000 years ago, and capture Halibel. All members of the vanderich can steal bankais and have access to a version of Quincy Final Form, similar to what Uuryu displayed against Mayuri in soul society arc. Ichigo is stuck inside some barrier in the dangai world currently thanks to King Opie. Aizen has cut down Kirge Opie (First Jagdarmee - Executive Hunting Captain of Vanderich) while he was off guard.

Does it sound like its not going anywhere ?
What are you talking about?
Kenpachi and Shunsui aren't dead.

I'm going to have to contradict that, especially since things have started to look up in terms of sales and maybe ratings too.
No, that's not the case. Bleach's anime has been cancelled almost half a year ago, and if you take a look at the Jump tiers within the last year or two, the manga has been performing pretty badly (it's almost always in the bottom five rankings, and is second to last on average if I remember correctly).

Stuff like that seems out of place in Dragon Ball. DBZ characters are strong and all but having them pick up something like the Earth and throw it if it was some type of football would be crazy. I don't think we need these type of stuff and I personally rather see a good story instead. Story telling and characters are the always the most important things when it comes to film.

Well, that shouldn't be too hard considering that I'm mostly sure Yamamuro Tadayoshi key animated that scene. ;)

I'm a fan of overpowered craziness just as long as it makes since (doesn't have to apply to real word logic) and is crucial to the story.

I didn't realize how long the wait was going to be. I had anticipated learning more, sooner. With Toei's Precure movies they reveal information so much faster; their latest movie was announced in May, the movie poster appeared in June, and the spoilerific minute-long fully animated trailer came out just last month. The movie itself comes out in October.

But that is only a 5 month incubation period compared to DB's 9 months.
It really is starting to look like the quoted parallel theory below is going to come true and that it will be some time in September. I guess there probably is a timeline somewhere at Toei's studio stating when to release information based on how much time will pass between the announcement of a movie to the movie's release in theaters.
medama_oyaji wrote:Well, let's look at how Toei is handling the promotion for the newest One Piece film, which is coming this December.

There are a couple OP forums, but here is the thread on Raftel which is a little quieter than the biggest forum, so you can see the updates more clearly without as much chatter http://raftelforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=332

So looks like the original teaser dropped in November of 2011, almost a full year before the film is set to be released. The original info posted was just basically "This will be the first film in The New World!" which is about as much info as "The new DBZ movie will be in the 'Lost Decade'!"

Then it wasn't until MARCH, 4 months later, that a sketch of the villain was revealed at an OP art show in Japan. Here's a thread where that is revealed (it got tossed into another forum section because of the relation to the art show...) http://raftelforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=420

And then it wasn't until late June, practically July (another 3-4 months) that more info about the movie came out and we got the first trailer (which you can see back at the first thread).

So, if you apply that to our time frame...about a year out (well, less) getting a tiny bit of info and a teaser that (probably) doesn't reveal anything other than the movie is coming out. I could see it being September or even later before we get any substantial info or a real trailer.
Yeah, this one is definitely looking to be the most likely to happen. September or even October.
*Hopes she doesn't have to wait until October.*

I am very active in the Bleach community and I am up to date with this type of information. While I can't be 100% sure, as far as I know the only reason the anime was "cancelled" was because it caught up to the manga again and it couldn't afford to go into another filler arc right after it already had one. They are basically doing what they did with Gintama and Inuyasha, they put it on hold. It's been hinted at in interviews that they will resume once they have more material. The ratings were bad but that was understandable considering that the arc wasn't well received in the manga too.

But as I said, things seem to be looking up for Bleach since the first volume sold twice as much than the last one (which was an all time low fro Bleach) and the ratings in the WSJ ToC have been improving.

Byakuya is the only one that we assume has died so far and even that is not 100% clear. The rest are still fighting.

I'm hoping for end of September, beginning of October myself. It will probably be a while untile we get a real trailer, but I expecting some images in WSJ to tease us in the meantime.

@Mischi I dunno, I consider Kira pretty dead as well.

Also Sasakibe, but it seems no-one thought he was important enough to mention. :P
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Oh yeah, forgot about them.

On topic :

Another thing that is of great interest to me is who will be the one to compose the soundtrack. Or do we know already and I have missed the Info somehow?

Personally I would love to have Sawano Hiroyuki do the soundtrack :).

Looks like you overlooked Captain commander leutenant funeral in the chapter, Kenpachi being cut in half straight down the middle by vanderich leader, Shunsui getting shot point blank in the face and having his head blown clean off, and Kira getting half his upper body blown completely off, and last seen on the ground bleeding to death.

I already admitted that I forgot about Sasakibe and Kira (and we still can't be sure about Kira ), but the rest meaning Kenpachi, Shunsui and Hisagi are all fine at the moment.

Sorry, I meant to write the first volume of the final arc compared to the last on the the Fullbringer arc. It sold over 500,000, which hasn't happened in a while.

What I'm saying is, he doesn't even look like Broli anymore and has even less personality than in Movie #11.

So I'm looking at Toriyama's Dragon Quest X artwork and man does it show how much fun he had designing all this stuff; I hope he gets to design some characters/settings for the upcoming DB movie.
Links to Toriyama DQX art (note, while about 90% of what's on the pages are Toriyama's, the rest came from other artists) : http://www.realmofdarkness.net/dq/games/wiiu/dq10/art and http://www.realmofdarkness.net/dq/games/wiiu/dq10/art/2 .
