I see it up for preorder now. But this deluxe edition with the statue costs a good $260 USD. And with Bandai's track record, I don't think this Hong Kong edition will have any English. Past experience taught me that.

I'm very curious to find out which characters from the last sparking game didn't make the cut. That roster has some awesome niche characters that I'll be sad not to see again. Raging Blast also had some great ones I'd like to see again, like the minions of Cooler and the Super Saiyan 3 transformation for Vegeta and Z Broly. I wonder if Z Broly will even be in this one... Seems redundant, but this series has never shied away from redundancy :lol:

EDIT: Almost forgot Tarble. What a fun addition.

With how much GT is sidelined, I think it'll be just a DLC, with only maybe GT Goku and Vegeta being in the base game... But time will tell.

Anyways, SSBE is not its own transformation, it's a power up for SSB Vegeta, much like SSB Kaioken is to SSB Goku:

The GT stuff would be the popular stuff like Kid Goku, Pan, SSj4 Vegeta, Baby Vegeta, Super 17, the Fire and Ice Shadow Dragons, and Yi Xing Long. If we get DBS Teen Trunks and Goten, I would want EOZ and GT outfits be skins for them. There's no point on making GT Trunks and DBS/EOZ Teen Trunks separate characters when they are the same character.

A feature in Raging Blast 2 that I didn't like was the fact that you had to rotate the thumbstick when knocked down to get up, and the less health you had, the more time it would take for you to get up.

Has anyone commented on whether or not this feature was removed in Sparking! Zero?

Haven't seen it in any of the gameplays. The only prompts that have appeared are either for boosting up super attacks (like BT3 and RB2 had) and various clash prompts (only the grab clash, which is a new mechanic, seems to involve rotating the thumbstick but it doesn't seem to be violent like the old games)

DBS Broly and Gogeta explicitly called Broly/Gogeta (Super) so that pretty much guarantees their Z versions

I want to give characters halos like you can do in RB2. I can make some fun what ifs like Goku teaming up with Future Goku against Goku Black.

They have items in the game so I'd assume there'll be items like that

But some of the gameplay so far had Goku with a Halo fighting in all of his Z SS forms, there’s no way of telling at the moment if that was a costume for him or an aesthetic equip item.

Gotta say though, the more I look at this game the uglier it gets, it’s weird it’s like ugly but pretty at the same time. The character models have such an amateur look to them in comparison to FighterZ or even the Naruto Storm games (which I know, like FighterZ is developed by someone else) yet the model animations are done well enough and the colors pop for the most part so it’s giving the graphics overall a huge pass but the models on a one to one basis are mid as hell.

One thing that I really like is despite a lot of characters having a Kamehameha ultimate, each one has a different animation from each other. I know it probably would've been easier to just copy and paste animations, but it's always good to make every character feel unique despite some shared moves. SS2 Goku's Super Kamehameha is definitely clean as hell.

Upon hearing the first announcement for this game, I was curious how the Spike Dragon Ball tradition of "acceptable in motion, but don't look at them too closely" would manifest with this level of visual fidelity. Sure enough the more we see the more things stay the same.

I think the models are amazing - the best we've ever had in a DB game that doesn't 'cheat' like ARCSYS does with its models. The problem is that anime models never translated well in unflattering angles, such as watching them from below. The characters to me look perfect in the char select screen because that is the 'default' main angle that Toriyama designed them. But when you get angles like 18's intro sequence, it does look weird.

Nothing that deters me from drooling over this game's visuals, I think they're overall fantastic.
