Isn't he still making his movie? I thought that was why Mike Matei has been filling in...

They should call the future chapters "DB Z Multiverse" or "DB Multiverse Season 2" or something. To differentiate it from Gogeta Jr's work more clearly.

I hope they can find someone good to draw. Gogeta's art work looked really good, but I hope he will start a good drawing career one day.

He's just making the movie as of now, Matei is just filling in to ease the fans. Whether he blocks comments or not is kinda irrelevant to whether the AVGN is still going or not.

Ahem....that topic thing....So...I guess it'll be a while until we find out whats going to happen. Hopefully by the end of the year, which would be possible since the schedule is being slowed down, we will find out who the new artist is.

Ah balls. :( That is all.

In all seriousness it seems obvious now in retrospect why Gogeta Jr. would have wanted to call it a day. The last year or so there have been more delays between actual story pages. It would be hard for anyone to keep up the pace they set down. Of course there is always other things like job, family, etc. I wish the man well and hope his artistic talents are seen again by us one day.

He just did one on Dark Castle two weeks ago... it's still going strong.

This is disappointing...

I think Salagir should be able to find a good artist to finish his story relatively soon. This is a cool project to be a part of, and you know there's a certain capable someone out there who wants to do this, now we just gotta hope for the best.

At this point any conclusion would be acceptable so long as there is one. Make XXI the bad guy, finish the tournament with him winning, have everyone freak out that he's going to use the dragon balls for something terrible, Goku and Vegeta fuse, Gogeta and Vegetto fuse, bing, bang, zoom, Gogetto beats XXI, everyone says their goodbyes and goes home happy. The end. So long as it doesn't just stop cold because that would be so deflating after all this time.

Dunno what the deal was with that. Could be some other shenanigans. All I'm saying is I'd rather see a rushed ending than no ending at all. And I expect that whoever replaces Gogeta Jr. will unfortunately not be received well. I can't imagine it'd be good for morale. Who knows how many artists out there would even want to carry DBM to it's conclusion, let alone good ones? I would just hate to see a new artist come aboard, get heckled out of the project, another artist come aboard, quit out of fatigue, and eventually culminate in the last page of DBM consisting of "Yeah, sorry, we're done."

I'm actually thinking the opposite. I would rather have it not finished than rushed, because in that case somebody else could continue it. We don't need a story of such a huge size like this to end on a half-assed note.

Also, as long as the new artist is as good as the last one, the switch won't kill the rep of the book. It happens all the time in the comic book world.

Yeah, but in the comic book world there's more leeway with regards to how something is "supposed" to look. Gogeta Jr.'s art wasn't praised just because it was good. It was praised because it was such a close approximation to Toriyama's. And the fact that DBM had such Toriyama-like artwork is what drew (no pun intended) people to it.

Based on what little tidbits have been dropped so far, I'm guessing it's not that he goes insane but that he gets body swapped by the rogue Ginyu.

<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita

Wait 'til the next round.

All you guys do is criticize him for his "bad writing". I see a little bit of it, but not so much. Of course, what do you expect? There would be obvious wins for some characters in the "dream matches". Not to mention there were plots all over the place. Yamcha trying to change #18, the mysterious XXI yet to be revealed, Zen Boo is plotting something, etcs. He did even surprise us from time to time. So cut the guy some slack.

But didn't he die? I'm almost certain Freeza blew his head up when he was in Butta's body.
