The quality seems great to me, aside from the terrible unavoidable CGI from nowadays.
Surprising Sorbet will figh too and his ring has some kind of magical power.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Hmm. I'm concerned my fears are *seeming* to become more apparent now. I don't like the look of those scenes from a Story perspective. Of course, they are simply screenshots, nothing more. We can't really gauge too much from them, but we can speculate.
From the very start I've never liked the thought of Vegeta defeating Frieza - due to a number of reasons, which I'm not going to go into right now.
Goku won't die, if he does, how can he be resurrected?. Someone else giving up a life?. Toriyama had Goku lose to Lord Beerus, and I honestly believe he's setting him up for a big win, not in this movie perhaps, but definitely the next I'd assume.
Now, in an interview recently, Nozawa mentioned her expectations were constantly being overturned with respects to what Toriyama had in store for Goku, and that he grows "even more" this time. Would she really say that if they killed her character?. Doubt that.
I do think Vegeta will go SSJG this time, he did say he would at the end of BOG. And the fact that Vegeta (for a brief moment) became more powerful than Goku in BOG after Bulma was hit by Lord Beerus, it's obvious Toriyama is setting him up for something.
Either way, I'm still very much looking forward to this movie, and I trust Toriyama to deliver story-wise.

I just hope it's not killing Freeza alone.
I agree 100% with this.
Killing Freeza will be the best thing Toriyama can give him.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
So, crackpot theory time.
Freeza shows up, and fights Goku, who proceeds to kick his ass. However, Goku doesn't notice that, while this is going on, his god power is being siphoned away by the little guy's ring. With Goku rapidly weakening, Freeza turns the tables and leaves him for dead, which is where Vegeta finds him.
The god ki is transferred to Freeza, who proceeds to bestow a few of his elite troops with a portion of it to handle the likes of Piccolo, Gohan, etc.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I have such fond memories of the (mostly) cautious optimism and (mostly) innocent excitement as we discovered more about "Battle Of Gods," in which the only in-universe thing people wouldn't shut up about was Gohan's hair. The relentless cynicism on display here with every new promotional image is unbearable. Having to read assumption after assumption, which leads to complaint after complaint, knowing that we have zero context for how any of this relates to the movie, is beyond taxing. I notice it's coming from (mostly) new members. It's toxic, it's killing the conversation, and I'm astounded that these people aren't self-aware of the destruction they're causing.
All I hope is that Kuririn and Tenshinhan win. They haven't gotten a real win since the Saibaimen. They deserve it. This movie seems to be giving them *real* fights, which is going to be so much fun to watch if everything is tastefully done. I'm going to be very sad if Yamcha and Chaozu (the ones who REALLY deserve a win) aren't in on the action.
Agreed. We know nothing about the grunts, their power, what Sorbet's ring does, etc. There's nothing that says these guys aren't allowed to pose a threat. It's yet another instance of people dismissing a new concept just because the original series didn't have it. Formidable grunts. What a concept! What, did you guys just want to see the side characters effortlessly knocking them aside for 90 minutes? Wouldn't a more challenging fight be more entertaining? If all of this is handled well, then it'll provide an even greater payoff when Kuririn, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo (hopefully) beat them. I'm intrigued by this revelation. Maybe I won't enjoy it once I see the finished film, but I haven't seen the finished film so I can't jump to conclusions yet.Blade wrote:Freeza having grunts who actually pose some kind of a threat is an amusing (and welcome!) concept.

I would really be happy it would turn out that Freeza's further evolution would be a produect of cheating via technology or magic. That ring of Sorbet would be a perfect object to perform that.
I imagine Freeza's speech after he beats Goku up:
I imagine Freeza's speech after he beats Goku up:
Freeza: Let me show you my... further evolution!
Goku: But how? How were you able to owerwhelm me, if you are not a God like myself?
Freeza: The evolution is mine, but the power is yours, ignorant monkey!
Goku: Wh- what do you mean? That's why I was decreasing in strength during the whole fight? But how did you manage?
Freeza: It wasn't me... It's fine to have loyal minions with useful tricks. Now you die!

How the hell is Piccolo being hit a mere soldier?
They literally have to get a million times stronger.... Freeza is one thing but them?

I didn't expect so many new pictures to come out from that.
A lot of new questions. The red guy looks pretty awkward.

They can do good CGI though, the recent One Piece movies were great.. hopefully they put as much effort into FnF.FortuneSSJ wrote:The quality seems great to me, aside from the terrible unavoidable CGI from nowadays.

While that could just be a bad in-between that looks better in motion, yeah, it's pretty awful. All of the screen captures look uninspired. This is what happens when you devote so little time and talent to a movie, which is a shame. I like the red guy's design.FatNagger69 wrote:I didn't expect so many new pictures to come out from that.
