I've already touched on this before in this very thread, but I just can't understand that mindset at all. To assume someone wants something on the previous gen - one that's still used today - is out of stubbornness towards upgrading, is folly. In my own case, I just got a PS3 a year or so ago. I'm still getting tons of games on it that I've never gotten to play yet. Even if I could afford to (hint: I can't), I would not be buying a PS4 just yet, no 'stubbornness' to it. For some, it could just be a case of trying to be frugal and/or realistic with their cash flow.
Besides, whether you feel they need to die already or not, the fact remains that they
haven't died yet. If someone had been hoping for the first Xenoverse to hit PS2's as well or something, I could see this argument, but PS3's are very much still alive, so it's perfectly fine and understandable for people to want games that they want to come to that system.
I've fully accepted that Xenoverse 2 isn't coming to PS3 though, and I never had very high hopes that it would in the first place, so it's not too big a deal to me at this point, but I can still understand where others are coming from.
