Now if we can only get new VAs for 80% of the cast and we're in business. :P
I would volunteer to do that, if they were re-casting for 80% of the DBZ cast. I'm heading in the right direction of becoming a Professional Voice Actor.

Well, anyways, based on everything I've seen so far I can't wait to get this.
Plus, I'll be getting Brawl and maybe Rock Band along with it, so I should be entertained for quite a bit.

Oh, for people who missed the video link, I took a Print Screen of the video of "I am Son Goku" in English:

Is "Son Goku" said only once throughout the whole game?

That's the only time I've seen it.

I'm starting to think that whoever was in charge of writing the dub script had just simply forgotten to take it out. :P

I finished the Freeza arc last night and I like the game a little more. I just need to get used to the warp-counters and stuff.

Well, now that we have *physical* proof that Funi is starting to use Son Goku, now I want a video so I can hear him say it! Anybody have a copy of the clip? :P

Never mind, saw it already.

I've completed the game. For the most part, everything feels exactly like Budokai 3. The "Drama Pieces" are merely substitutes for the capsules in previous games. They give you various effects (Faster Ki charges, Character Supports, Minor Health Increases, etc.,) in the form of cutscenes in the middle of fights. The "Blow Away Attacks" replace the "Dragon Rush" from the 3rd game, where you have to mash buttons to win. The character models are smooth and clean. They animate quite perfectly as well.

The levels often "blur" when the characters are moving at high speeds, so that can often be a distraction on the eyes. The controls for the X360 version are a bit iffy. Movement feels a bit off, so more often that I see most XBL users spamming Ki blasts throughout the whole fight. Unfortunately, that's all it takes to win and increases Battle Points.

Wow, that line that Frieza delivers before Goku SUCKS. How could they not have gotten that right? :S "What are YOU?" instead of "What ARE you?"
Tho Son Goku is nice :p and correct pronunciation of Kaio-Ken, boy, we're getting some progress here :p

If only he re-dubbed the series.....just why does great talent like Schemmel have to be wasted at 4Kids? :x

It's not that it's "wasted", he moved to NYC to go into business with Mike Sinterniklaas and ended up getting work from 4Kids after the fact.

I love XBL battle. I get to win while being at a disadvantage (Not having Cell Saga Characters and not having Host Advantage).

WTF.

I've been playing the game, and I'm enjoying it so far (though I don't think it's done much to improve on the original Budokai formula, though it looks very pretty), but am I hearing things wrong? It sounds like Ms. Nozawa is pronouncing Kaioken as "Kayoken" ala FUNimation O_o;;

Keep in mind I'm sick, so I might be deaf, but I've used it multiple times now and...yeah. Sounds like that's how she's saying it.

Schemmel using "Son Goku," Nozawa using "Kayoken"...what's next? :P

Apparently, Schemmel saying "Kaiken" correctly.

I didn't hear Nozawa say "Kayoken" but I also haven't listened for it. If this is the case... madness is about. That's for sure.

If Ms. Nozawa ever said Kayoken, all Hell would break loose. :P

Listen a bit more closely, it definately is Kaioken, and not Kayoken being said :D, it's hard to distinguish because of all the other sounds going on and the quality of the video.

I did a double-take the first time I heard that, too. I'm still not convinced one way or the other, which is enough to make me upset :(.

Sean Schemmel and Masako Nozawa have suddenly switched pronunciations? That's pretty fucking weird. Probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. I mean, Nozawa is Japanese. At least Schemmel had an excuse for saying "Kayo-Ken" before (bad directing).

Yeah, the in battle line is definitely "Kayoken", though she uses "Kaioken" during the cutscene at the end.
