Again, I just feel like context and character is important ... Goku isn't a foul-mouthed sailor, he talks strongly at times but 'fuck' is, at least for me, a very far cry from the character. Vegeta, maybe? Goku, absolutely not.

For what it's worth, Steve Simmons went with "you dumbass" in Kai, changing it from "you stupid bastard" in Z.
"Dumbass" is a great translation in my opinion; it's not overly vulgar, and carries the exact same weight.

This isn't a gritty seinen manga. Strong profanity in a shōnen scanlation is usually a good sign that the translation is shoddy at best.

I don't know if the exact wording is the same in Japanese (I think in the dub Goku goes 'Oh, you mean he's taking a poop?'), but either way, he's being vulgar in an entirely different way. It's not that he's using bad words, it's that he's talking about something somewhat inappropriate to talk about in mixed company.

1. How did the pieces of Mecha Frieza that were put into the chamber turn into first form Frieza?

2. Why would they do a manga chapter like this that gives so much of the story away? Shouldn't they have saved all this for the film itself?
