Fans seem to have an extremely hard job separating the game's overall quality to the quality in comparison to other Dragon Ball games.
I've had a whale of a time playing this game, but I still gave it a 3/5. It's a heavily flawed fighter but it's still a fantastic Dragon Ball game.
The more time you spend with it, the clearer the flaws become. After 20 hours, the game was perfect, when I hit 40 hours, every flaw was
very clear.

I do have to agree since I do think as a fighting game it gets a 6/10 while it gets a 8/10 as a DBZ game. When we get a popular DBZ game that fans like then they tend to attack other people for it. I remember when X-Play give Budokai 2 a poor rating that they got mad and send the show angry e-mails to the show.

I thought he was a preorder bonus but apparently not?
He was some sort of bonus right off the bat for Japanese players, but he will be part of DLC pack 3 for the western release. Release date not yet available for that pack.

*shrug* It was like that with most games, BT2 and 3 were had the same reception from critics too, so it's not a surprise. Anime games will never be critcally acclaimed, even the almighty Budokai 3 wasn't, even though it was the highest rated DBZ game of all time. And it's funny cuz I used to be one of those fanboys who jumped on the critics for their opinion(though the outrage towards IGN's RB2 review was justified IMO).
My only gripe with the reviews is the fact that they say this game doesn't have any depth when it actually does. I'll admit, it could have some more depth, but it still has some.

I expected at least 7 for the creativity aspect of the game. Although the game has flaws, it's a heck of a DBZ game. I know I'll be playing it up until a potential sequal is released. If we can expect the same leap of improvement that we got in the bud okay series, just imagine what we can potentially see down the line? The game is selling well and this is a great spring board into potentially very successful series.

So is this patch update out yet, or just coming out sometime today? And I'd imagine all we'd have to do would be take the game online and it'd pop up that we need the latest update, righht?

Amazing, simply amazing. I went from being unable to get any of the 3 ults I mentioned before to suddenly getting them all in one fell swoop.

And I just answered my own question (both of them) by taking the system online.

Definitely gonna have to give the game a bit more play later to see if any of these fixes will alleviate any of the issues I was having.

I honestly think having Mr. Satan in your party increases drop rates. Beforehand I was getting nothing. Now I have him fighting with me and I get 3 ults in a row? Something's up.

Any chance it could be the update patch, maybe? One thing listed is 'fixed issue where some materials could not be earned in quests'. I'm hoping this is a nicer way for them to say 'somewhat improved drop rate because the RNG was ass, so now you can actually get stuff at least a tad easier'.

I rather the transformations be its own group like how it was with the Budokai games.
L2+R2+/\-Transformation or option rage boost for some characters who don't have any transformations
L2+R2+[]- Ultimate 1
L2+R2+O- Ultimate 2
L2+R2+X- Escape

Very eager to see how the sales are in the US.

Confirm this with me. Put Mr. Satan on your team for a mission you need something for. Do it a few times and tell me what you get.

...Huh. You might be on to something, either that or the patch really did increase RNG a bit, cuz I finally just got Ultra Fighting Bomber, which before freakin' REFUSED to drop, even though I didn't do anything different this time as far as my own character goes.

Can't say thank you enough but... THANK YOU! for doing it.

I love the white/silver-instead-of-grey wristband.

So I finally got the last part of Chi Chi's costume I needed from an earlier quest...does Piccolo's Demon Clothes outfit have their own feet/hands parts, or am I done grinding that particular quest?

Well I finely got to go into the lobby today filled with real people!

It was definitely pretty awesome! I'm going to try to go into it as much as I can now. Ya know, I haven't even beaten the campaign yet for this game haha I just turned level 61 and I'm trying to complete all characters training and such before I beat the game. but I know I've said it before but this is definitely my favorite Dragonball game ever.

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

I'm pretty sure you can just buy Piccolo's demon clothes after clearing the Freeza arc. Worked for me.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on

I seem to get more things out of quests too, I wouldn't put my finger on it. but yeah, I'm gonna try and get some dragon balls to see if the RNG has increased, also gonna try with mr satan.
There's room for only one snake, and one big boss.
