Maybe the next week without Super may become a blessing for the rest of ROF arc. since they have more time to do something cool.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Nah. They should use the advance knowledge of that week break to put towards some planning for the Hakaishin Champa Arc.

Well, that would be even better. As long as this extra week helps them, its okay.

Even if they had a year it wouldn't make any difference cause they simply don't care about it.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I want to be hopeful the extra week will help. Our previous break was between eps 3 and 4, and ep 4 had that unique art style to it.

Oh, I hated those bold linearts. Its also one of the things I hated the most in Fusion Reborn.
That style doesn't work for me. :?

It was difficult for me to judge because it was a Pilaf Gang episode and even by then I was all Pilaffed out. (It was novel in BOG, but I'm just tired of them in Super).

I think it's an art style that would work better if they kept the tablet pen on sensitive for the entire drawing instead of just certain lines so instead of having bold line next to thin line you'd have a transition from bold to thin (Z has this in some episodes, but done with more finesse imo).

The only thing I liked about its use in episode 4 were some unintentionally hilarious shots of Vegeta near the end.

Yeah I have no problem when they are careful, but when they go overtop looks horrible:

I was thinking of Minoru Maeda's work for "varied thickness lines with more finesse" : http://www.kanzenshuu.com/animation-styles/maeda/

After the last few episodes I get the feeling they shifted their focus to the new stuff a few weeks ago.

Say what you will about him, but man I hope Yamamuro takes the reigns on episodes relatively often in the Universe 6 stuff. Episode 13 is still one of the best looking episodes.

Anyone know if NewType is the only place that lists the staff for the upcoming January episodes of:
January 17th: Gokuu's conclusive Kamehameha
January 24th: Arrival!! God of Destruction Champa
January 31st: Toward the era of a showdown between universes!!
or if that information could pop up elsewhere? I'm curious who the scenario writers for those 3 episodes are.

If King Ryu can be the scenario writers for all the show, i'll be happy.

If I'm not mistaken, Chuquita, we only have the staff info for Episode #26 (January 10th) until now.

Scenario: Makoto Koyama
Episode Director: Hatano Kohei
Storyboard: Naoyuki Itou
Animation Supervisor: Naoki Tate

In the next issue of V-Jump Magazine we're going to know the staff of the next 3 episodes. (I think it's the V-Jump Monthly Magazine that contains that information , not sure.)

Re: Psykomatik

I am very anxious for King Ryû to return. They wrote some of my favorite stuff in Super. I hope they have some episodes coming up.

Re: raulvalente:

Many thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing how Naoki Tate's animation turns out. I hope he wasn't too rushed this time.

Tate made some bit of key animation in episode 23, but between his last episode as supervisor (18) and 26, he's gonna have a gap of 9 weeks, including the break, which is the biggest he ever had. Rushed, he probably wasn't - especially considering he delivered episode 11 only 6 weeks after 5 and it turned out great.

That is good to hear. :3 Now I'm really looking forward to his work on 26.

Unrelated: Odaiba very recently had a DBSuper display here: http://news.mynavi.jp/articles/2015/12/28/db/

There's a page with character art, but interestingly no individual sheets for any of Team Champa:

And another Toriyama comment which may or may not be new:

It's a reprint of Toriyama's comment on Super's plot that was revealed in early July (holy shit, I'd forgotten we knew about Universe 6 before the series even started...seemed like information we received later. And now seems like so long ago). The character sheets also look like reprints we've seen somewhere before, so it's not too surprising that they don't have anything about the new characters.

The link that shows more pictures of the Odaiba display is interesting. There's a Dragon Ball Super Market that appears to have lots of cool merchandise, like some plastic plates that look like dragon balls, and Senzu.

Nice stand, seems they're upping the marketing for actualbrand new material along with 30 anniversary. Good strategy, Skyfall benefitted heavily from tying new movie promo with Bond 50th anniversary

These look super cool too:

Well, people can bitch about Super animation whenever they want. But nobody can point their finger and say they don't advertise Super. Damn, always full force!!
That in my town would look perfect. :P
