Goku's like five feet tall, and Oozaru Vegeta could hold him in one hand.

So that would make the Oozaru around 25 feet tall?

My reasoning behind this isn't that I don't think they'd make Goku's transformation into an 8-feet tall man.
No, that sounds exactly like a decision they'd make.

I'm just saying that nothing you've cited so far convinces me that's the case here.

I guess I'd want something more than vague ramblings about tall men and some guy's "anonymous sources".
Seeing as my own very reliable anonymous sources have informed me that Jack Sparrow is going to captain the Enterprise in the upcoming Star Trek movie alongside Kirk.

When another actor mumbles something about "Goku transforming", "giant Goku", or something along the lines of "monkey" or "tail", I'll totally be with you on the matter.

Brian Tyler said the word Oozaru.

Hell, anyway, what do you guys think of a video game?

What genre? I don't much care for another fighting game unless it's in the Tenkaichi series (lol, bonus unlockable characters: US DB movie versions), but an adventure/RPG thing I would at least rent.

I think it will be a platformer...maybe I'm just saying that because whenever someone mentions a "live action Dragonball game" I think of the CGI TMNT movie based game.

Can you provide the context?

As for the video game, how much can one expect from the requisite action-movie spin off video game? I'm sure it'll be on every platform from the DS to the xbox 360 (with the ps3 version being ominously left out in lieu of the ps2 version), and be as craptastic as the Ironman and Hellboy movie games.

Anything for that extra few bucks, though.

I, for one, can't wait to see if they'll announce a Dragonball: The Movie: The Comic to go along with Dragonball: The Movie: The Junior Novel.

That doesn’t mean the legions of “Dragonball” faithful aren’t far from her mind, though. Rossum said her first encounter with “Dragonball” was the Saturday morning cartoon, only to realize that “it’s really so much more than that — from the comic to [the cartoon] to the whole franchise and brand, so many people feel such a closeness to these characters.”
So Dragonball is a saturday morning cartoon?
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

It was a cartoon that played on Saturday mornings, yes.

I rather liked the Iron Man game. And the 300 game. :(

Remember when Stephen Chow said he wouldn't direct Dragonball because he didn't create it? B-B-BULLSHIT.

Turns out he's directing Green Hornet.

Street Fighter: The Movie. At least the home version that played like Turbo. The arcade version was ass.

And Iron Man wasn't that bad, just unpolished.

Anddd just to keep things in check, Science of Evil has dick all to do with the movies, plotwise (tho it does have the core cast for voicework).
To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

On the 8-foot tall man part-

Wasm't she talking about a man that Marsters turns into, not anyone else? Why would Marsters go oozaru? It's gotta be something connected to him.

My love for the wonderful Ms. Rossum is growing and growing. The interview with her was a great read. Great to hear she's so confident, understands the character, and believes fans will be "pleasantly surprised." I'll hold her to that.

As for the '8-foot-tall monster,' it could be anything at this point; adapted version of Ozaru Goku, a bulked-up Piccolo, or even a "Super-Fulum" or something. We don't have enough info to know for sure, so I'll refrain from making any kind of judgment or prediction about that for the time being.

EDIT: Then again...

Image

Could this be the guy playing our 8-foot-tall monster?

...Wearing Goku's wristbands?

I peg an Oozaru at about 40 or 50 feet. Though that's just a rough esitmation based on the handful of shots we've seen with compartive elements in them. But they look about 5-ish stories tall.

Which means Hildegarn could probably step on them.

If this is an Oozaru-like Goku, maybe it isn't a "full" transformation?
I mean, I'm not complaining about it, I'm just saying that perhaps this is a possibility?

Like, maybe they make different levels of the transformation, like there are different levels of the Kyuubi transformation in Naruto.

I don't see that being the case, its just a little thought I had.

Giving it a more "werewolf" kind of appearance and stature would probably be more achievable and less off-putting than the whole "King Kong" kind of deal.

So.....like a youkai form?

It works in YYH and Saiyuki, but for DB...meh. I'd rather have my regular king-kong-sized oozaru instead.

If you're gonna make oozaru suddenly much less threatening, at least let the form keep its tail. :?
