I dont know what is not clear in my previous comments. I am clearly comparing movie's 90 mins to manga's at least 60 mins, nothing to do with length of a anime episode. I can do math too.

The point is, what about the last three chapters makes you feel like they'd take up 60 minutes worth of content for a film adaptation? Because that seems like way too long for film pacing, and if that's what you're using to predict how long the anime adaptation will take, then no wonder it's an exaggerated estimation.

Pacing isn't really Super's problem. It's just so poor and boring that it FEELS like it's longer than it actually is. It's not the kind of show I watch that makes time fly by that I am really excited for more. It's the kind of show that makes me notice the time more often than not.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Let's break it down
Chapter 5 - About 6 pages of vegeta vs goku after freeza's battle.
- About 4 pages Dialogue of Whis and goku and vegeta after their fight.
- 9 pages of Champa and Vados interaction with everyone.
Chapter 6 - About 8 pages of Beerus vs Champa fight(in a flashback form I am aware)
- About 11 pages of what is Champa's plan and everyone being informed about it. Bulma's plan, talking about fighters etc.
Chapter 7 - Many things going on Jaco and Bulma plot with
- Goku and Vegeta in time chamber (3rd fight now)
- Everyone meeting each other
- Mysterious fighter interaction, journey to tournaments palce
- More interactions between different characters, plus the revelation of new characters
Chapter 8(assumption) - The writing test
- More about the uni 6 fighters
- Interactions between characters and who is fighting who revelation
Of course no one can make a movie out of this because this is all just building up to the tournament, but if someone really wants to with this information alone they can easily make an hour special. 3 fights alone can easily take up 20-30 mins of the thing and then a lottt of world building.Plus this is my opinion and i should not have to do this much explaining just to validate my opinion. This time I just thought why not?

The chapters so far have only been enough for two episodes but they'll probably stretch it out more. If we're lucky it'll be good content.

The moment Kikuchi's sountrack started, I got all the feels. He was too perfect for this.

Is it possible to rip the subs from the video?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yeah, click on "More" then "transcript "and then just copy what's in the box. Like so,
Although, you'll have to delete the times manually...

Yep 1994, before the buu arc and ongoing saiyaman arc.

All this time, I had always assumed that special was actually a full length (well, as full length as anything back then was) special, like 20 minutes or so, basically an episode. I had no idea it was this short.

I think this is only part of the special. I dont think Toei released the full version anywhere after it aired once on TV.

Seeing the Top 5 Dragon Ball News Stories in the homepage, just remindes me how its been a trip these last years, 2012-2015. With 2016 coming up with hot stuff.
What a lucky fanbase. Most other anime franchises would be dead by this point.
If the last few years have taught us anything, however, it is that we are 100% incapable of calling what Akira Toriyama, Shueisha, Toei, and Bandai Namco have planned for the Dragon Ball franchise. In a way, it’s oddly reminiscent of Toriyama’s writing style back during its original serialization: even he didn’t know where it would end up!
True enough.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Incorrect. That's was actually aired at the end of 1993.

I'd laugh if Goku fails the writing test.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

He's gonna get a perfect score, much to the dismay of Vegeta who'll be outraged that the damn Kakarot is always one step ahead of him...!

I kinda imagine neither do all that great, but Goku manages to somehow get a single point higher than Vegeta. That alone sets up a gag.
