Because Multiverse logic.
Gyt Kaliba wrote:And I'm getting this feeling that the next line will be 'But in THIS universe, I SUCCEEDED!' followed by him in a gloriously dramatic pose of victory...that doesn't work well simply because Hoi doesn't have that kinda design. :lolno:
He just said that he died, like we saw him die.
True enough...but on the 'we saw him die' part, I meant something like, this is a Hoi from a universe that wasn't 'most' where he died without finding a way, one where he didn't find another way like in '16 and 18', and one not like '3' that we're seeing now. Basically, I thought maybe it was a primer that we were leading up to a fourth Hoi. I take it we're not though, based on your comments. ^_^;

Nah, it's okay. I'm fine with being slightly spoiled there. It was just a theory anyway, and I was probably expecting too much. Again. I should really have learned by now. :?

With the way it cuts back to the main story here, it would have made more sense to have Tapion narrating those events somehow rather than Hoi...ah well.

I have to say, this special is making Raichi look pretty damn badass.

So maybe Tapion doesn't have the whole Hirudegarn inside of him after all? Though I'm betting he does and this is just a temporary mislead.

I really don't care if he's "out-of-character" here... I love this version of Raichi.

Oh look at that, it's up to Hanasia.

How the shit can you seal it away in a ghost, anyway?

Yeah, I can buy that. Without the unquenchable thirst for revenge against the Saiyans, I can imagine that he'd be collected and bad-ass.

Is there like an official ghost checklist of what godzilla-like monsters can be stored within them?

If the "out of character" complaints from earlier were about how badass Raichi is, this is fine by me.

No, but the ghosts shouldn't have a "body" for Hildegaan to be sealed into. They're essentially revived grudges.

Do we know it's going to be sealed in her? She could just be putting it to sleep.

I forget how that works, though.

Oh. I thought the Ocarina was only able to seal the thing?

From what I remember, it subdues Hirudegarn as it's main purpose so sealing might not be out of the question.

Maybe Raichi will seal it into himself.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

How is a creature the size of a building sealed into a body 100 times smaller than it?

By being broken down into a mist or energy or whatever. But it still needs a container.

He's going to seal it inside Tapion... at least, eventually...
